DON's Pick: Black and Gold Shopping

It's the weekend and I feel like shopping! Sure, Halloween makes you feel like investing in some orange, but what I'm really digging right now is black and gold. Black is the perfect slimming backdrop during the indulgent holidays and gold is festive as ever - even gold nails are on trend right now! I know these will carry over into the busy holiday social scene to be great base pieces to any Christmas-y color pops.  I also love how I can play up or down most of these to easily go from work to cocktails.  Because I love a great happy hour! Bring on the holidays.

Celeb Potpourri: Rihanna, Tina, Lily, Tiz

 So Rihanna proclaimed her continuing love for Chris Brown in her recent Oprah interview, but when she asked if they were together, she said "He has a girlfriend." Basically alluding to the fact that if he didn't, she'd be into it.

Last night the two went out together in New York and Chris publicly announced that he is single once again. So it looks like these two may in fact be rekindling their romance.

 Take a moment to absorb the fact that this is Gwen Stefani celebrating her 43rd birthday. The woman just gets better and better!

 She took a break from promoting her new album to dine in Beverly Hills at Via Alloro with her husband and sons. Kingston is so hipster, you know Shiloh Jolie-Pitt wants that whole look.

 For two extremely skinny people, Kate Bosworth and her fiance are photographed at the grocery store a lot. Perhaps if all she is buying is coconut water, this makes sense.

Khloe, Malika, Kendall, and Kylie enjoyed catching Justin Bieber at Staples Center last night. Just two weeks until I'm there to see Carrie!

Hilary Duff endures a tough Pilates class in Hollywood. She seems like she works out 5 days a week.

 Kourtney and Kim Kardashian hit the beach for a power walk while filming KKTM.

 Kat Graham gets some yoga in wearing God knows what.

 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley makes the gym a priority with a lingerie line to promote. I suspect we've seen the last of her as a VS Angel.

Kristin Cavallari does some stretching for a run in Los Angeles on Sunday.

And here she is at an event in NY last night, less than two months after giving birth to son Camden.

Miu Miu smartly included three hot blonde PYTs to their front row fashion show. Amanda Seyfried looks ready for a magazine ad in her red suit.

 Emma Stone is retro and feminine in a look her pal Taylor Swift would fight her for. Ok, pillow fight her or tickle fight her; I mean, it's Swift.

 Dianna Agron is oh so mod and brightly color-blocked for the show.

Ashley Benson keeps it hipster at the Just Dance 4 party in Los Angeles. She wore a Nasty Gal blouse you can pick up for $20 if that's your jam.

 A slimmed down and bespeckled Bristol Palin went for a conservative look. That hair is just too dark for her IMHO.

 Christina Millian wore orange head to toe. It's too Halloweeny for me and those pants are obviously way too tight. Her hair is perfection though.

Holly Madison is still figuring out how to pose with a baby belly.

 Let's start with the mamas, shall we? January Jones has a little tank top malfunction while heading to lunch with her son in Los Angeles.

 Kristin Cavallari is looking pretty freaking fit as she arrives for a guest role on The League.

My favorite photo out of Paris Fashion Week thus far is this one of JLo who is so clearly thinking, "Not now, baby, mommy is striking a pose."  Jennifer took her daughter to sit front row at Chanel and that is one gorgeous dress she got to wear. Can't you see Blake Lively working that for a premiere? Also, I adore those padlock Tom Ford pumps. She clearly does too as you'll see her wear them again below.

2012 Environmental Media Awards: Vancamp, Alba, Akerman

At the Environmental Media Awards, Emily Vancamp in a hot pink Andrew Gn dress and top knot. She looks great in it, but it screams Bachelorette party to me and I truly hate the belt.

Jessica Szohr looks smoking hot at the awards. Still trying to ID her dress. She is reportedly dating another Brit, former soap actor Ricky Whittle, after splitting with Packers star Aaron Rogers.

 Amy Smart's dress looks like a bit of a mess. Very Project Runway dress that didn't have enough time to complete.
