Hunger Games: Team Gale v Team Peeta

I finally saw The Hunger Games last night. I was pleasantly surprised at what a sensory experience they created; it really felt like you were in the games, to the point where the shaky cameras and the ringing in my ears post bomb made me feel a little sick. I really expected it to be more tweeny and less of a thriller. I really loved the supporting cast: Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, Stanley Tucci as Caesar, Wes Bentley as Seneca Crane, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch and Amndla Stenberg as Rue were especially awesome!

My friend DAK and I have a steady debate of why I'm Team Gale to her Team Peeta.  A lot of this crosses over to the actors who play them. I find zip zero nada sexy about Josh Hutcherson.  You can partly blame Vanessa's past influence, but to that point, Liam is dating Miley who is rarely any better. May I also point out that Josh is 5'7 (same as Jennifer Lawrence) to Liam's 6'3?

I legit couldn't find a bad picture of this kid. 

I haven't finished the third book so don't say anything about it in the comments please!! If you haven't read these books, what the heck are you waiting for? Not reading them provides for awkward social scenarios, like losing a Draw Something 48 game winning spree by not understanding my STELLAR drawing of Peeta with a loaf of bread in District 12...LINDSAY.

Celebs Down Under: Ashlee, Minka, Vanessa, Paris

Marquee flew a slew of celebs down to Sydney for the launch of their latest nightclub. Ashlee Simpson and Minka Kelly spent the day shopping together. Minka has added on to her patterned denim collection with this colorful pair.

 More patterned denim! Minka gets the crown for the most. These are J.Brand, paired with a leather shirt, which sounds like the worst possible thing to wear to a nightclub.

 Remember these two? I hope their appearance fees have dropped considerably because they seem pretty irrelevant. 

 Aussies in the house! Sharni Vinson and Abbie Cornish turned up at the fete. Sharni was on the arm of new boyfriend Kellan Lutz, who clearly has a thing for rail thin ladies. Also, doesn't he look ready to perform on DWTS?

 Vanessa Minnillo made for an extremely stylish mama to be on the arm of hubby Nick Lachey.  Must have been fun for Ashlee to be there with her sissy's ex and his preggo wife!

Celeb Potpourri: Witherspoon, Duff, Seyfried, Stone

Amanda Seyfried grabbed coffee on the go in Los Angeles. Kirsten Dunst ran errands in the sunshine. I have a bad feeling she may heading back to her old ways when I see baby mumus like this. Kiki, resist the call of flea markets! I know you can do it! 

 Look who came out to play! Miss Hilary Duff made her first outing since having the baby (and first time away from Luca).  White leopard pants seem like a bold move, but you go girl! I'm proud of you just for getting dressed!

Expectant moms ahead! Vanessa Minnillo is all about the maxi dresses during her pregnancy.  She is in Sydney with Nick this week. Reese Witherspoon leaves her Brentwood home in head to toe black. Love her pop of yellow purse!

 Lovebirds and Spiderman co-stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone grab lunch together in New York. 

Guys, do we think Rihanna is ok? I feel like she is getting increasingly eccentric and wonder if we would even notice if she was in trouble. Let's hope not! Here she is doing promotional work in London.

Miley Cyrus leaves a workout in the Valley, where it must be much warmer than in LA. There were tons of comments on Miley's look from the Muhammed Ali event, ranging from how thin she looks to if she got her teeth done. She has definitely dropped some weight since the beginning of the year, but I'm not sure about her teeth.  Chime in if you know something we don't!

Emma Stone and Emma Roberts both are bundled up blondes. Emma S. has been pretty low-key lately, spending time in NYC while her boyfriend Andrew Garfield takes on Broadway. Emma R.'s denim selections make me cringe.

Lily Collins is a charming 23-year-old actress on the rise. When I googled her, it auto-filled the search to "Lily Collins Eyebrows", which she has described as something she used to hate, but has since come to appreciate her full brows. She wore this purple Collette Dinnigan dress for an appearance at the SoHo Apple store, then again on Jimmy Fallon.  Are you going to check out Mirror Mirror?  Miss Lauren Conrad has not gotten the memo (or she has) that I really want to run into her at Kate Somerville. I think my Saturday appointments are preventing our colliding since she goes mid-week. I can say I would not like having my photo taken as I leave there sans make-up and red faced.

Super Mega Post: The 30 Plus Celeb Crowd w Eva, JLo, Kim, Rachel

Eva Longoria, hair in a pony and Wendy's in hand, heads into Ken Paves' salon for a blowout. Her assistant was carrying her bag of food.

 And post blow-out.  She must be a Hollywood miracle eating fast food past 30 and remaining stick thin!

One of her favorite colors to wear is this coral color and she looks so fab in it!  She headed out later for a business meeting at her Hollywood restaurant, Beso.

 Meow! How fierce is this neon Michael Kors dress! I'm in love with how she styled it with those hot pink Casadei Blade heels and that Hermes studded cuffs, plus the signature JLo hoops. Love, love, love! She is looking so fabulous lately!

This is one fierce flyer! She wore Christian Loub Toutenkaboucle suede buckle sandals while traveling to Brazil with her boy toy, who she has outfitted in thousands of dollars of designer duds. It's good to be her pet. She also sported a marigold Gucci dress which our girl Blake Lively wore way back in August to the Teen Choice Awards (I don't forget). Love those cat eye shades!

Have you watched VH1's Styled By June? I am so happy Rachel Zoe and Bravo have paved the way for more stylist reality shows because I love them! Last week June Ambrose revamped Mischa Barton beautifully; this week it was raunchy rapper Trina, a makeover I understood less, but hey I'm not really Trina's target demo.  More than her clients, I love what June wears on the show, morphing from preppy to hipster to chic with every outfit and without irony. Check her out in a silk Vera Wang dress and those glam Guiseppe Zanotti suede peep-toe bow heels. I have only seen them in bright colors and think I love them in nude since they already have a lot going on.

Kim Kardashian has been wearing a handful of flats lately - a totally new thing for her! She is also madly in love with colored denim after spending the past year in lots and lots of flirty A-line skirts. Her jeans are Black Orchid, her jacket is BCBG, and her sandals are Givenchy.

Back to what I was talking about before, Kim wore a flouncy skirted Lela Rose dress to dinner at Mr. Chow last night following a stop at the Valentino party. She has worn several Lela Rose dresses lately that are super feminine and have a 50's feel. Don't you think Betty Draper would approve?

After taking son Skyler shopping for his first birthday at Kitson Kids on Robertson, Rachel Zoe headed to News Room Cafe for lunch...aka a coffee. Later, she hit up the Valentino store opening in a gorgeous zebra print boat neck cocktail dress.

YSL Babes: Heard, Roberts, Jones, Rossum

Amber Heard, Emma Roberts, Chloe Moretz, January Jones, and Emmy Rossum all wore YSL to Jules Massenet's Manon Premiere at the Met in New York. Interesting how everybody was dressed in dark colors with the exception of Emmy. 

I love Emma's pantsuit! The sweetheart neckline and the belt both add the perfect feminine touch to this look.

 I can't understand the resurgence of chokers, nor why January Jones would wear such a depressing frock.

 Jennifer Lawrence premiered The Hunger Games in Madrid. Her hair was tamed for this photo call, but her Victoria by Victoria Beckham dress almost looks like a futuristic uniform. I'm so sad she didn't blow us away with the promotion for this film the way she did on the red carpet last year. But hey she is only a baby, she has nowhere to go but up...I hope! I'm going to see the film on Thursday with Logan and I cannot wait!

Here are two recent cover shoots she did. Why can't her hair look this amazing all the time? I love it long and straight with bangs and I love it in big loose curls sans bangs. My only complaint is this Gucci dress has been played out so hard! Give this girl something unseen.

 We've seen colored and floral jeans all over, but what about tie dyed? Would you wear what Minka Kelly sported while out in LA? Over at the Restoration Hardware event last week, OC alum Autumn Reeser looked adorable in a look she pulled together with a friend. You know I have mixed feelings on mullet dresses and skirts, but this color works so well with her skin tone. I also really like her hair color these days! In case you didn't know, this young wife and mama has blog of her very own.  Nikki Reed seems to be thriving in her newlywed lifestyle. She was all smiles at an event in Santa Monica with her husband, Paul. I like her rocker chick look. 

 Brenda Song was also at the event in SaMo. I just love her! She looks awesome in yellow, which you all know I am very jealous of. Vanessa Hudgens gets in some time with her boyfriend Austin Butler in NYC. Her sunglasses are heart-shaped aviators. Her shoes are Jeffrey Campell suede platform loafers.
