DON Says Dance: Lady Danville

I liked Lady Danville before I knew that the boys in the band are from and named the band after my hometown.  They are currently on tour with Jack's Mannequin. Easy mellow jams.

Jessica Alba loves her some Paris Fashion Week. She took her Loewe cross-body satchel and a super serious hair flip for some serious shopping sprees in between runway shows.

Colored denim is everywhere for Spring. I love these bright lime jeans by Current Elliott.

  Cleaned up nicely at night for the Lanvin presentation. Over at Dior, Mila Kunis sported some extra long hair extensions and a beautiful pale pink lace dress. Gorgeous! I will be attempting to recreate this ensemble this Spring for sure.

 The ever-chic Olivia Palermo was front and center for all the Paris shows as well. Not sure I could pull off all that shiny fabric, but she can wear just about anything. She's built like a tiny model.

 Total rock star style we don't often see Palermo in: sexy suede fringed Loub boots, Current Elliot stretch leather pants, and a Haute Hippie turkey feather vest. I can't think of a less practical outfit, but she sure embraces the look. Zooey Deschanel is a little more traditional in L'Agence at a charity event. If you need a long term LBD, this is on sale for $330 at Saks.

 Over to another of my favorite brunettes as Kate Beckinsale takes part in World Literacy Day by reading to a group of children. She has said her husband would love to have a child with her, but her daughter from her previous marriage to Michael Sheen is not into the idea. Maybe Posh's little princess will convince her? I also found this pic of her looking smoookin' (Mask voice) in Men's Health Australia.

 This is how cool I want to look everytime I travel. Rosie flies with style in a Vanessa Bruno coat and Burberry purse. Lana Del Rey did what all celebs in town do, headed to Chateau Marmont to party. My favorite song of hers is "Radio"...because my life is totally sweet like cinnamon ha! Check it out here. 

Enjoying their respective vacations, Selena Gomez wore some short shorts in Miami while Taylor Swift takes a dip in Australia in a little Marc Jacobs bikini. No doubt she'll be back to promoting The Lorax soon.

Lucy Hale enjoys a vacation in Brazil sans boyfriend Chris Zylka (Secret Circle).

Pretty standard day for Ashley Tisdale: kill it at the gym then get the shop on. Are pirate blouses coming back? This is good news for all the preggos!

I have to say I've always liked Adrienne Bailon, but what in the cheeks of Lindsay Lohan was she thinking with this disgusting ensemble. I think her dress got caught in a cab door and left nothing behind but the lining. Or she was styled by a streetwalker. You're choice.  That second photo I can basically read her mind: "Craaaaap. Why did I let myself get talked into this??"

 Otherwise, the dress code at this NYC event was clearly not specified. Exhibit A Katrina Bowden, Exhibit B Mel B.

 The dressed up crowd includes Kourtney Kardashian and Katharine McPhee.

Then we have the rocker crowd. Ashlee Simpson has become really good at this, she looks great. Maria Menunous and Cat Deeley also chose concert cool looks. 

Zac Efron Grew Up

Hey Zac, I know you are 24 now and ready to show us your not a teeny bopper anymore. The blue suede shoes are pretty weird but other than that...

...well done.

Kinda reminds me of Tom Cruise during his Top Gun years. Check out his new Nicholas Sparks movie with Zac as a former soldier. Yowza.

Carrie, Lauren, Reese, and Miranda

I was out of town for a bit for Paula's rosary and funeral, which were both incredibly beautiful and sad. While the reason was awful, it was so great to see some many of my closest friends and some I haven't seen in years. No matter the miles, we are all there for each other when it counts and knowing that feels reassuring and special. And Tamale was certainly happy to have me back home last night.

I have new pics of some of our favorites today! Carrie Underwood performed in Nashville last night, working two different black dresses. We don't often see her in LBDs...thoughts? I am really enjoying her new single, got it on rotation right now.

 Lauren Conrad has been very busy with book deals, Kohls, and her Paper Crown line, but she took a time out for lunch at Fred Segal. 

 Miranda Kerr might be the only mom who flies in pleather pants.  Reese Witherspoon wore a LV LBD while doing work for Avon in New York. Her hair looks great! Keep those bangs side swept girl!

• Ben Affleck and Jen Garner welcomed a son, their third child together, Samuel Garner Affleck.
• Snooki, 25, is reportedly pregnant (shudder)
• Uma Thurman, 41, is pregnant with her 3rd child
• I am really glad Bethenny Ever After is back. I forgot how much I enjoy that show. That is pretty much the cutest baby on television and they are an interesting couple to watch.

Oscar 2012 Fashion Part 3: Color

 There was some color and the most predominant one was red and orange-red. Kate Hudson in a backless Versace let her hair flow wildly. She looks great. Claire Danes wore a voluminous Valentino. Love. 

 In LV, Michelle Williams found the perfect dress. I love the layers and the fitted bodice. I think I would have loved either no necklace and big earrings or a larger necklace on her. Cameron Diaz wore Victoria Beckham to the after parties. I prefer this dress to what she wore to the Oscars (below). She also put her new boobies on display for the first time.

 Of course Emma Stone turned it out in Giambattista Valli. She has had a solid year of amazing fashion. She seems to pull off any look, from girlie to glam to hip. Natalie Portman charmed in Christian Dior. I'm glad she wore her hair down and that necklace is perfection with such a youthful polka dot gown.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Antonio Berardi looks fabulous. I love the little sleeves and bodice detail.

Earlier Cameron wore Gucci. Her hair is the best it's been in months and the dress is very pretty, I just wish there was more detail at the top or a slightly stronger pop of color. Some of that sparkle higher up would have been lovely. Sighs for Kristen Wiig. She is the perfect 2011 dress. I love this J.Mendel gown and her loose hair, but so last season.

Viola Davis wore a Vera Wang gown that just didn't work for me. I miss seeing all the rich green on the red carpet that we saw previously.  Kate Beckinsale chose a very interesting Versace dress. I love the cut on her, not sure about the pattern...still mulling that over.

Meow to Heidi Klum in a small bright Versace. Looking good mama.

 I prefer Jennifer Lopez in this Zuhair Murad gown; it's slightly more modest and the purple black color is out of this world.  Penelope Cruz goes old school glam in lavender Armani.

Shailene Woodley looks more herself in this Proenza Schouler, it has an earthy vibe about it. Katie Holmes is one of my favorites for the night. Her navy Cavalli is sheer glamour!

Posh, in her own line, is simple and chic. Love her dress, but look forward to seeing her in some drama and volume again soon.
