Brunette Besties: Eva, Kate, and Posh

Quick, everybody say "prune" for the camera! Three glamazon brunette besties were out and about together last night.
Eva Longoria wore a Cushnie et Ochs dress that undoubtedly offered up some sneaky peeks throughout the night. Pretty bold choice, no? Kate Beckinsale wore pink (squee!) McQueen.
I want this dress so badly!
Posh wore her own line, which is obviously fabulous once again. I do think it is interesting that she keeps pairing below the knee pencil skirts with over the knee boots...Also, can you tell that Posh has a favorite "side"? She's really good at making sure she is always angled for the cameras.

Hi Ken Paves! Please go help your girl Jessica out now, thanks!

All Glammed Up: Larter, Bush, Rimes, Nemcova

Meow! Check out Ali Larter in a bold yellow cocktail dress and Sophia Bush working a navy, backless sequined Kristina Kidd gown!
I think it's pretty clear by now that LeAnn Rimes loves her boobies. She wore a white Tom Ford to a charity event in Hollywood last night that drew out ton of celebs. Mischa Barton was also present and, while her dress isn't my favorite, the color works well on her. And really we take what we can from her and applaud her efforts.
A cardigan on the red carpet? No, no, no Laura Prepon. This is a black-tie event. Petra Nemcova looks like a mermaid come ashore in a silky red gown and flowing locks. She is also looking mighty thin these days.
Now for some sexy beasts!! Which one would you pick for yourself? I'll take Ed. :)

Trainwreck MegaPost: LiLo, Mischa, Tara

If only Kiki had shown up! Mischa Barton, Tara Reid, and Lindsay Lohan all in the same room is quite a feat. Mischa seems to still be working the Kiki Kampaign program...she looks great,no? Tara, while choosing about the worst purse option for this look, actually comes across as the best she's been in years...years.
 And then there's baby Grandma...

Essence Luncheon 2012: Kerry, Emma, Paula, Kelly

Two chicks who are always on my best dressed list are Kerry Washington and Emma Stone. The ladies both wore white, Kerry in Cushnie et Ochs and Emma in Elie Saab. Kerry wins this round with her bright BA heels and Kate Spade clutch; Emma looks stunning but a little washed out.
It's hard to see the detail in her dress from this photo, but it is stunning and has that peek-a-boo-back that is all the rage.
Paula Patton has had more misses than hits, but her Marchesa dress is fabulous. Kelly Rowland has her hair and strong eyebrows overshadowing everything else going on, but I like the outfit.
Jordin Sparks stood out in a black sequined wrap dress, a great pick for her shrinking figure!

Bump Watch: Simpson, Kardashian, Miller, Cavallari

Jessica Simpson has been picking up items for a baby girl, but has yet to announce what she is expecting. She went in for a doctor's visit with her fiance because...she's still preggo. Her, Duff, Garner...feels like a long waits for these babies!
Also having a girl *shudder* is Kourtney Kardashian. I think she might actually be the best option to have a daughter out of the three sisters.
Kristin Cavallari grabs a juice at Erewhon, where I saw Emile Hirsch a week ago looking extremely straggly. A very tiny bump indeed. She claims they will be raising their kid far away from LA.
Sienna Miller is pretty adorable as a preggo, working on set in NYC. I really can't picture her as a mom, but hopefully it suits her!

Letters from DON: Dear Jessica Biel

Dear Jessica Biel,

So this is a photo of you leaving Justin Timberlake's movie trailer after a supposed romantic tryst. I am so sure JT saw your khakis snapped up from an overweight boy's elementary school uniform and got way turned on. This is really taking the "boyfriend jean" to wrong places. All I can think of here is Dick Van Dyke doing the penguin dance in Mary Poppins.

What Gives?

Red Carpet Mania: Reese, Jessica, Cameron, Emily, Charlize

Reese Witherspoon is hard at work promoting This Means War over in South Korea. She looked adorable by day for a photocall in Michael Kors and glam by night in Giambattista Valli with some Jimmy Choos. I really like Michael Kors' recent work; all clean lines and very feminine. Jennifer Hudson owns like every piece he's made.
A pre-Oscar party at Chateau Marmont finally drew John Krasinksi and wife Emily Blunt out of the house.  Cameron Diaz, who continues to make weird faces at every photo call, wore Elie Saab.
Over at the Global Green party, you can totally tell Emmy Rossum has a background in ballet the way she poses in this pretty, uber fem Oliver Tolentino dress. I think I will venture into yellow skirts for Spring because I love the color but it makes me look sickly. Hopefully, if it's on my lower half I can avoid that?? Sophia Bush, who has been so on point recently, wore a Dilek Hanif Couture dress that just does nothing for her figure.
Maggie Grace and Alison Brie both look very ladylike at the event. Maggie's could be a bridesmaid dress that, gasp, was actually repurposed! Has anybody ever been able to do that? Alison's teal paisley skirt is pretty voluminous...good thing she's a tiny little person!
Jessica Alba glows in Carolina Herrera. Carrie Underwood recently mentioned her fashion idols are Reese and Charlize Theron, who wore a Stella McCartney jumpsuit. Can you picture Carrie in this?
Amanda Seyfried wore an ethereal Nina Ricci to the premiere of her latest film, Gone. Jennifer Carpenter wore a gorg Gucci dress...I love it, what an awesome LBD.
 Favs?

DON's Dishes: Parm Panko Kale Salad

Food photographer, I am not, however I'm so in love with this kale dish I wanted to share. I tend to create really bizarre dishes and this is no exception so I may be the only person who likes it. That said, I eat this salad probably one night a week. Sometimes more.  It is just so easy and fresh. My recipe includes Gomasio, which is just black sesame seeds and sea salt combined into a bottle; I happen to have it around, but regular sea salt would be fine.
For one big salad:
1/2 bunch of kale, washed and torn into pieces, stems discarded
1 t Olive Oil (or more to taste, I like to start very light)
1/4 C panko breadcrumbs
1/8 C fresh Parmesan powder
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t Gomasio
red pepper flakes, to taste

Place kale in a large bowl and lightly drizzle with olive oil. If you still have some water on the kale from washing, that will help cut calories but create the stickiness needed. Throw in all remaining ingredients, mix with your hands (it's messy, but easiest), and enjoy! I really love the crunch of the panko and kale, the light spice of the pepper flakes, and the tangy parm flavor. Let me know if you try this one!

Glammed Up: Jessica, Kates, Rooney, and Tamale

It's Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent! For me, that is a time of reflection and sacrifice; I don't want to share what I am giving up right now because it will be very, very hard so I'm trying to not think about it today, but I want to wish you all well on your Lent journey if you're partaking. I stumbled across a beautifully written post on Lent at Southern Vogue blog that I think is worth a read.

On to some hawt fashion! Jessica Chastain has struggled a bit with her new found limelight, but this Elie Saab dress is a clear high profile statement. Gotta love a red head in kelly green.  Kate Bosworth looks stunning in Stella McCartney; her high volume hair really changes her typically waifish hipster look to siren. The shoes are a snore though.

Kate Beckinsale got very glammed up for the Costume Designers Guild awards in Vivienne Westwood. Not my favorite she's done, but still good. Rooney Mara looks outstanding in J.Mendel, but I so wish she'd ditch the goth hair and makeup. That dress is made for her!
Gotta dash to mid-day services, but I'll leave you with something fun.
