Fashion Week: LC, Odette, Posh, Mandy, Rose

NYFW Front Line!  I want to start with Lauren Conrad. For years I've wondered why she, especially as a fashion designer, did not attend Fashion Week. Here she is popping in at Rebecca Minkoff and below at Kate Spade. I think I've reaching the point where I have to say she has not inspired my with her clothing choices in a very long time.  I used to love her simple, well-tailored, cute looks. But it has been ages and it's a bummer.

Jessica Chastain is so very hit or miss. A major miss at Altuzarra.

 Mandy Moore takes in the Billy Reid show. Love that blue color, somewhere between periwinkle and cobalt we have this. Love.

Mandy Moore at her favorite designer's show, Lela Rose. Attention my fellow HS alumni, I was looking to the right and trying to remember how I knew her. Duh, it's Merritt Elliott of Current Elliott. She (with Emily Current) puts together Mandy's looks.

Odette Annable took in Fashion Week in a big way. Here she is at Monique Lhuillier. BTW if you are an LA bride, I hear nothing but the best of their bridal boutique. If you hit Fig and Olive for lunch or drinks on the weekend, you will encounter a room full of brides who either just were or will be heading across the street for a fitting.

 Love this textured number Odette wore to Tracy Reese. She is so fresh-faced and pretty.

 Leave it to Odette to make a Herve Leger look appealing. I am just having a hard time saying goodbye to neon. Tomorrow my nails go from bright green (which, for the record, receive the most compliments of all colors worn this summer, with neon orange in second) to something more autumn inspired.

 Fashionista Rose Byrne at Jill Stuart. Doesn't Claudie on Gallery Girls look like her? I am not sure why I keep watching that show, every character on it is pretty unlikable.

A little vacation recap...I had the best trip home last week. In the past year I have been so lucky to spend time traveling within California. These mini-trips mean no flight hassle and often my dogs get to come with. I've had individual trips to Montecito, Palm Springs, SF, Santa Barbara, Ojai, Lake Tahoe, Healdsburg, and, this past weekend, Clear Lake. We have such a beautiful, diverse state and it was really nice to visit places I haven't been in years or had never experienced.  I also bought a new car while up north, leaving my trusting Escape behind for an Edge. Love me some American made cars! Cholula, Tamale, and I had such a smooth (albeit 9 hour) ride home last night - I just wish the bugs would have respected my shiny, new car a little more. Big thanks to our trip coordinator, Alicia, who hit the Flabongo while wakeboarding like a champ.
