Jessica Alba looked fantastic in Michael Kors. This looks like one of the few dresses of the evening that may have actually been comfortable, depending on how cinched that middle is.
Between Ashley Greene and Nina Dobrev, I think I have a pretty clear idea of Donna Karan's ideal woman: a dainty, stunningly beautiful brunette. Nina does the brand proud in one of the best looks of the night. Another trend I will be talking a lot about is Barbie goes to Prom. This dress also belongs in that category.
At some point Cameron Diaz does realize that she'll have to show the rack she paid for right? She wore a backless Stella McCartney and is still trying to figure out what to do with that terrible haircut.

Tons and tons of girls channeled the 1920-30's for the event and for every girl who brazenly left their hair down, there was another coiffed up with gel. There was also a lot of goth makeup, especially lips. Camilla Belle gets my award for most naked dress in an evening where skin tight was the most popular. Her Ralph Lauren dress is a knockout.
Malin Akerman in DVF. The dress is completely distracted by the truly terrible extensions. When you were photographed the night before with short hair, it's not a great idea to arrive the next night with blunt, one dimensional, straight across long hair. The dress really is gorgeous, but I'm too upset with her styling team over the locks. Liv Tyler wore a liquid black Givenchy dress. Not really understanding this one. Looks like it has a tank top underneath a backwards ball gown?
Newlywed Carey Mulligan hosted the evening in Prada. This dress is a fantastic example of how our quirky starlets can go glam for the night (take notes Kiki). She still looks very much herself, but brings the drama and glam factor up high. Here's the neckline I've been talking about. Better get your push-ups in girls because this cut is not forgiving to arm pit fat.
Mad Men's Jessica Pare works a L'Wren Scott gold sequined gown. Anywhere else she would have probably been a standout in this dress, but it was not the best of the gold category. Debra Messing went with the very popular trend of plunging necklines in KaufmanFranco. This one is only for the surf boards so work it if you can.

cameron's hair looks a bit too much like it did in something about mary, not in a good way. i think she looks great in the dress though.
