As LA is abuzz with talk of Coachella, my email is lighting up with chains discussing Stagecoach, the 3 day country music festival following the hipster gathering in Palm Springs. It is days in the pool and afternoons and nights with Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Eli Young Band, Alabama, The Band Perry, Sara Evans, Martina McBride...you get the idea. Here's my must-pack for the concerts list which is just good sense for any country concert.
- Cowboy Boots. You could wear sandals, but the polo fields are dusty and the bathrooms disgusting. Just trust me and invest in a cute pair of boots. You will look amazing in your short shorts and sundresses. These Justin's are my latest acquisition from Boot Barn.
- Hoodie or Jacket. I am told it got a little desert chilly in the evenings. Apparently, I was wrapped in a beer blanket because I don't remember that, but be prepared!
- Cell Phone. For the most amazing candid photos of strangers in bizarre get-ups and your friends getting wild in the camp ground pre-party zone. Also, to meet up with fellow SoCal bloggers! Let me know in the comments if you will be there; I'm coordinating a toast time.
- Sunglasses. Or, let me be more clear, cheap sunglasses with decent UV protection. You'll wear them in the pool, drop them while dancing, they'll fall off your head at night...trust me, go cheap. I'm on the hunt for these now.
- TP To Go. I found these at the drugstore and bought several. Nearly every bathroom I waited lifetimes for last year was out of toilet paper. Help yourself out and be prepared.
- Lip Balm. Remember, you are in the desert, dehydrated, and dancing in the sun. Bring a great lip balm like this adorable EOS one.
- Cowboy Hat. I didn't have one last year, but am aimed at taking better care of my face this year. Perfect for the pool.
- Sunscreen. Are you sensing a theme here? Get a high SPF waterproof sunscreen for pool time/daytime and a quality face sunscreen. I like Kate Somerville's Tinted SPF 55 for protection plus a light even coverage.
- Tickets and Wristband. Somebody always forgets and cries. Those wristbands cannot come off so treat them right!
- Cash. To chip in, to buy food, and, duh, to buy drinks. It's cash only and you'll need plenty of it.

Um how have I never heard of this. Waaaah I wanna go. You should also invest in the to-go dysinfecting wipes to wipe those nasty seats down
le sigh. i wish i was doing all of the above activities with you. even carrying around my own tp. i have been hunting for the perfect cowboy boots for years. i've bought two pairs since my tried and true wonderful pair finally bit the dust after 10 years, and am disappointed with both. i am very picky about my boots yall.
Such a great list for ANY music festival! I'm taking your SMART tip of getting some of the travel TP. I'm planning on trying to hit up the Iron Maiden show in DC this summer and I always pick the empty stall, always!!!
