Woof there was a lot of bad looks at last night's ACM Awards as well. I know that country stars do not necessarily abide by the same rules as Hollywood (with the exception of major crossover stars like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift) so you tell me if these are working for you.
My favorite dress of the night, yes including Underwood, was Jennifer Nettles in Max Azria. She worked the neon trend, showed off her hot bod, and looked poised and elegant all at once.
I did like Nicole Kidman in L'Wren Scott, working the collar trend. The shoes, however, are utterly heinous.
Taylor Swift in one of my favorite designers, J.Mendel. Perhaps one of the only times I have seen her looking grown up and dare I say sexy. Well done.
Hillary Scott found a fabulous dress for her curvy figure. Emilio Pucci wrap dress with soft waves and big jewels is excellent.
WE INTERUPT THIS FASHION POST FOR TIM AND KENNY. One of these things looks sexier than ever, another looks trapped in the 90s. Both of these are stage shtick, but one is ready for a revamp.

Kelly Clarkson seemed on the brink of better looks recently with improved choices during her album promotions. This dress does not apply. Ordinary and boring as anything. LeAnn Rimes wore a red version of the Stella McCartney dress Brooklyn Decker wore to promote Battleship last week. I find this dress fug as all get out. I feel similarly about her 8th grade dance updo.
Please meet the trashy little sister of Angelina Jolie's Oscar dress, wore by Sarah Evans. Worst look of the night hands down. Kimberly Perry disappoints big time in this nude tulle gown. Her hair is also so weird, like she has really bad thin extensions clipped under a poofy bob. Right? She has so much more potential than this.
Bless her heart, Miranda Lambert always seems to look like a girl from the wrong side of the tracks competing in her first pageant. What tragic choices for such an adorable girl. That said, she was freaking fantastic singing Over You, a song she wrong with Blake about the death of his brother. He said he couldn't bring himself to sing about it live on stage and would be honored if she'd take the song for her album. I love them and am so excited they are headliners at Stagecoach.

Loved Jennifer's neon dress. I usually don't like trendy on the red carpet, but she did it fabulously!
I actually liked T. Swift's dress. And yes, she did look like an adult!
Hated Sara Evans's dress. It looked like cheap Walmart material. Nicole Kidman always looks to stuffy.
And I agree....Miranda Lambert never gets it just right. I missed her performance, but love love that song. I didn't know the story behind it, and that makes me like it even more!

taylor swift looks incredible. i love her darker, smoother locks. and while the sound of jennifer nettles voice makes me want to vom, i typically love her red carpet choices. so A+.
i think kimberly perry looks nice. maybe last year nice, but still not nearly as bad as some.

Ok your description of Miranda's get up just made me snarf my water... HILARIOUS! And so true. Bless her. She's married to a very hot man, and she's such a cute girl... she needs to drop just a bit of the money she spends on hunting supplies and drop it on a stylist.
LOVE Jennifer N's dress on her so vibrant. Taylor looks amazing AND I have to say Tim McGraw just never gets old to me... ever, ever, ever.
