Deep Thoughts with DON

• I am really into juicing again. I was on a long green smoothie run, but lately I haven't wanted to feel as full with all the fiber and juice has been my thing. When I was little, this was my best friend John. I was always drinking juice and he was always eating a bagel or pretzels. Our parents called us JJ the Juicer and the Carbohydrate Kid. He's now in the Secret Service and probably has a much scarier nickname.

 I also had some bitchin highlights as a child. People used to ask my mom if she highlighted my hair. If only that was still free.

• Watching Brianna go through thyroid surgery has been weird for me. I hope she doesn't have cancer...it is definitely a good sign that they didn't find it when they opened her up like they did for me. But really I cannot believe how selfish her mother is. Perpetually talking about how upset this makes her, how scared she is, how great she is being to her daughter...get over yourself! When she said she was hurt that Brianna wasn't excited about her mom perpetually offering her things when she wanted to sleep I was really mad. The girl just had her throat cut open, don't ask her to speak, don't bother her, let her sleep you monster!
• Seann William Scott is engaged. He is one of those actors who is pretty well known to be gay so this is interesting. She must be a well-paid beard with something on the side.
• Cinnamon, the little puppy who was attacked then dumped at the pound, has recovered well from surgery and is in a new forever home. Thank you to all who helped donate to her cause or kept her in your prayers! Warm fuzzies and good karma for all.
• My bff from Semester at Sea is coming to visit tomorrow! We have a long running joke that we are not physically able to take a good photo together, but here is part of one from the 4th of July in Tahoe when I had, barf, dark brown hair. I thought it would be cheaper, until my lighter roots came in. Not cute on me at all. 

I also was busy pounding rum runners with floaters at the dock when my suitcase took off in the car of somebody heading home. I had nothing on but a bikini. Oh fun times being young and an idiot!

• Another long time friend is coming by the office today for a meeting with another team. It's rad when work collides with friends. She will really love me sharing this photo of her from the Hilary Duff concert.

• From talking with people, nobody is watching Jersey Couture. I really enjoy that show and am bummed they sped through the entire season! Now I'm super psyched for Styled by June. Did you see her makeover Mischa Barton? She is like a scared little kitten!
• Some baller billionaire had a celeb studded birthday bash at one of the hotels I use in Playa del Carmen. We honestly didn't think it was the best of the three hotels housed in this complex, but we use it for the dine-around one night. That said, I wish I had the money to produce a trip like this. Sounds outrageous!
• I am obsessed with the glass straws Jennie gave me for Xmas. They are wide, sturdy, dishwasher safe, and come with a cleaning brush, too. I drink so much more water with these things and they seem unbreakable!
• For her Hanukkah gift, I got Michelle and I aerial cirque classes. We climbed those curtain like ropes, spun around, and hung from them while that Russian instructor screamed at us to point, move our hands, climb higher, etc. It was scary but also thrilling. We were reassured that we have no upper body strength. I thought they might have to call the fire department to get me to come down the ropes on my first go round, my body wouldn't cooperate with my mind.

• Finally, my sissy Cameron is coming down this weekend to play and I can't wait to hug her! She is my little fashion maven and we will be analyzing all of my recent purchases. We once were thisclose to showing up to a wedding in the same exact dress, which would have sucked since she would have been way hotter!
