Let's chat about what is happening to the locks of Hollywood. I think many of the girls are getting tired of playing it simple and safe with ombre and extensions (with the exception of the entire E! news staff) and are ready to shake up your hair inspiration. Let's hear what you like, what you'd try, and what so shouldn't be happening on homegirl's head.
At the Muhammed Ali Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix, Miley Cyrus sported two different gowns (she was performing), the first being a peach Jenny Packham mullet gown. Somehow I know I find this more tolerable on her than I ever would on Vanessa, which makes me question my fashion fairness. Miley got a lot of press about being potentially engaged which she has shot down as a ton of malarkey.
She's ditched her extensions and is newly wearing her shorter, ombre hair in crimpy waves.
Model Agnyess Deyn sports a think flipped bob in cute House of Holland dress (but what is with the black nylons?). Feels very early 90's, yes?
Ashley Tisdale is one of dozens of stars and what feels like every single waitress in West Hollywood wearing a section of their hair dyed pink. Jaime King took it much further now that she's done filming for the season with yellow to blue ombre locks. She wore Christian Dior to a Stand Up to Cancer Benefit.
Jessica Alba has been wearing her hair a light, almost mousy brown color (she's usually medium to dark brown with highlights) with a serious flipped part. I admit, I have been wearing this part, but not the color, a few times and I kind of weirdly like it. People will compliment me, but can't figure out what is different about my hair (cut? highlighted? longer???) Just a fun flip to try. Jessica Biel keeps her dark bangs ironed as straight and flat as can be.
Drew Barrymore wore red extension in her reddish brown hair while out in McQ by Alexander McQueen over the weekend. Emily Vancamp is the best example of the yellow hair trend currently hot in Hollywood. While her hair is slightly less brassy since her show wrapped, I'm sure you notice how, well, yellow it was all season. There are tons of PYTs doing the same; would you? BTW this ALC blazer with her grey t-shirt was almost my first post for I Would So Totally Wear That. Don't you love?
This is a more extreme version of the yellow trend on Willow Smith!
Ke$ha may be regretting her shaved section of hair as it is now both highlighted and growing out, but she still has it on display. I think we can safely put this trend to bed now.

I'm not a fan of any of the styles! Miley's might be cute if it were straight. Or without gobs of gel or whatever product is contaminating it. They all kind of look like they're going through a crisis of some sort...go back to being pretty!
I think Miley's looks good on her - very age appropriate IMO. There are several others I don't care for, especially the section or two colored a funky color.
Hold on, that's Miley Cyrus??? Does she look different to anyone else? Maybe it's my grainy 1997 monitor? And she looks small, like seriously scrawny. It's me, right?
How on earth is Willow going to whip her hair back n' forth now?!?! She looks very simpson-ish with that do.
I sort of like Miley's hair, usually I don't like anything she does, unless she's cleaned up squeaky for events but the hair sort of works for her. She's young and has time to still be funky without seeming desperate for attention.
I'm NOT digging Jessica B's bangs, not at all, not in the least. Homegirl is always so cute... Jessica A's flip, not so sure about it but I can vouch for you - simply parting my hair a different way gets me lots compliments, as does pulling my bangs back it's like they think I have a whole new head of hair, crazy I tell ya.
And as for Jamie - I think she needs to keep channeling Lemon, because even though her character drives me nuts there's something so sweet about her prim hair and amazing necklace collection on Hart of Dixie {I'm obsessed with her jewelry ever episode}.
Miley looks so skinny! She must've started seeing a trainer or something with all the Hunger Games press events.
wow, I think this is the first time I have seen Miley looking grown up and age appropriate at the same time. You go girl... she's keeping that hottie on her arm, so she must be doing something right!
I must admit I really thought Miley looked pretty hot. I was diggin the hair, sans weave.
