Celeb Potpourri in LA: Jessica, Alessandra, Kendra, Reese

At first I thought, look Alessandra Ambrosio gets to eat again now that the VS show is over, she has a baguette! But of course she is actually carrying a bag of fresh squeezed juices as she leaves yoga with her baguette-like mat. I actually went to the gym this morning and really wish I could have taken pictures of what girls were putting on for work post-workout. I saw a yellow sleeveless floral romper with wedges and a girl in leather shorts with thigh-high boots, just for two examples. I mean, it isn't very warm here today and just their lack of clothing alone made me wonder where they worked that was so impossibly hot. Oh LA!

Another supermodel was working out nearby. Oh, it's just a joke Reese, don't give me that look!

I'm having an Ugly Betty moment here with Jessica Simpson. Remember when Betty came to work in that poncho and Amanda asked if she was a before for the before and after shoot? Yeah, that. That or Snooki in 8 years, yikes. Still trying to wrap my head around her as a mother...I mean, if Ashlee can do it...

Kendra gets props from me for doing anything and everything to keep her 15 minutes going. Promoting some  faux supplement at a Culver City GNC (I've seen it, it's about as big as a port-o-potty) is not something I could put on my makeup and smile for. But go ahead and get paid, girl!

 AnnaLynne McCord is quickly becoming my favorite crazy pants (literally) now that Mischa has gone into hiding, Kiki is blowing my mind in normal clothes, and LiLo is just exhausted. And this chick is ripe for it, she craves attention, the good and bad. This would be the bad. I hope her reality show with her sisters gets aired now.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012

Miss Adriana Lima, head Angel for Victoria's Secret, and veteran spokesperson for the line for a decade, stepped in some PR doody by being a wee bit too honest with how she preps for the show. Personally, I would rather hear celebs be honest about the lengths they go to in attain their insane figures, but I understand how this kind of information can and will be misused by impressionable underage girls. But I'm still going to talk about it! Just don't get crazy, my girls.

30-year-old Adriana works out every single day starting in August to prep for this event. That's about 100 consecutive days at the gym before the filming goes down. For the last 3 weeks before the show, she bumps up those workouts to 2-a-days with her trainer. She says there is tons of cardio and sculpting at a high intensity, including jumping rope, boxing, and weight lifting.

As far as diet - yes, the girls all go on one for this show - they work with nutritionists who routinely measure their progress, including fat ratio, muscle mass, and even their level of water retention. (I'm going to guess they get a special little pill to avoid their monthly visitor as well.) Water intake is a gallon a day. Vitamins and supplements are assigned for energy during this intense schedule. 

Nine days before the show, it's strictly protein shakes. No solid food for nine days.  Two days before the show, that gallon of water goes down to just drinking when she's thirsty. 12 hours before the event, it's no liquids whatsoever. (This interview was given before the show filmed this year and, funny enough, the day of the show Adriana made a big show of having water, coffee, and even cake by her side for press.)

While I knew the girls amped up their workouts leading to the show, I had no idea the added effort they put in. Now when I watch the show this year, because I do love the show, I will be less tempted to throw something at the tv since I know the poor girls are running on empty!

Dunzo: Ashton and Demi

After six years of marriage, the unlikely union between Demi Moore, 49, and Ashton Kutcher, 33, is over. It is pretty clear Ashton cheated on her with her released statement of:  "As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life." Ashton's reponse: "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail." Such a bummer no? Ashton will likely get lots of questions regarding this when he begins promoting New Year's Day.

Chanel Everywhere At Pedro Almodovar Fete: Blake, Emma, Miranda

 I really wanted to title this post "Move Over, Blake Lively". Emma Stone is knocking her of her fashion darling pedestal in 2 of her 3 favorite brands: Chanel and Loubs. She is perfection. I mean, le duh, Blake is fab in the same (Chanel and Loubs), but this round goes straight to the redhead.

 Miranda Kerr gets my vote for most stylish model (and really ought to share some tips with poor Brooklyn Decker) and sports a Peter Pilotto dress with almost no makeup.  Elizabeth Olsen goes elegantly conservative in Chanel. Couldn't you so see Reese Witherspoon in this?

  Olivia Wilde is straight up allergic to non-plunging necklines. Maybe her cleave is super sensitive? ;) I would have lifted up that hemline a little.  SJP in Chanel and what the eff is that vest coat? No.

Celebs Playing Dress Up: NicRic, Posh, Amanda, Duff

Wow Duff. You waited this long to show off your baby bump on the red carpet and this was your choice? Neon sequins in a dress that is clearly way too tight? And those uber dark lips. What a sad fail, I was excited to see what she'd bring to the preggo red carpet table.

NicRic in House of Harlow at the Grove and Julian Macdonald at a MOCA event. Her dresses are great but her hair and makeup need a little zhuzh.

 Olivia Wilde does not normally wear silouhettes like this and I love the change! Her dress is Cushnie et Ochs; still has that daring, sexy look she always sports, but the full skirt is a winning addition. 

  Jennifer Carpenter, Amanda Seyfried, and Brooklyn Decker in NY. Not that any of them look awesome, but Brooklyn has to be the worst dresser for any model I've seen. What is this?

Sorry I haven't been blogging or on twitter as much lately. It's not even that I'm so incredibly busy, just that my mind is elsewhere. I'll snap out of it soon. ;) In other news, Tamale is staying with me this week. She is really no fan of being without her sister and wants constant attention. It's going to be some work getting her used to being in the house alone, but I'm of course up for the challenge. It makes me so happy to have a dog in the house again!

Posh Portfolio: Out with the Fam

David and Victoria Beckham have been very low profile since the birth of daughter Harper.  The whole family went out to a local park to watch the boys play soccer, followed by dinner at Dan Tana's.  I miss seeing Posh out regularly! We need her fashion inspiration back.
