Carrie Rocks the CMAs

Can we just jump in with the epic fails of the night and get them over with? Closing the show in this mess of a Jean Fares dress was so sad to me. I mean, how great is her hair and make-up to drown her in what appears to be pounds and pounds of clearance rack drapes? This legit looks like something that gets you the "goodbye" on Project Runway. And how about her Nikki Rich by WTB number that I was so sure she was going to rip off and have a fun outfit underneath. But no. Slight redemption with those stage-appropriate Ryan Haber heels, though on anybody else they'd make stumps outta your legs.

Whew, now that we got that out of the way, on to the good stuff. Carrie shines brightest in either form fitting, rouched, short cocktail dresses or structured dresses in bright colors IMHO...not that I've over thought this or anything. Same shoes as above, did you notice? And, yes, PLL, we need to fix her bangs.
Carrie loves her some metallics and it works so well with her pretty girl looks - gives her a pinch of edge. Her Mandalay Dancing with the Stars type dress was beautiful (I would have just but real straps on in place of those clear plastic ones) and I die for those Jimmy Choo Kyrle booties, so hot!  I am all about sequins right now (LOVED the red dress the girl from The Band Perry wore for her performance) and Miss Underwood looks just like an Oscar in this gorgeous Reem Acra on the red carpet. Yellow/gold is one of the best colors on her.
Homegirl loves her some pink! One of her most-worn designers, Georges Chakra did the dress on the left, which is a pretty color, but not a great cut on her. On the right, another structured cocktail dress and some sweet Cachet slingback from Sergio Rossi.
Hi gorgeous! Carrie loves to go super feminine and her Zuhair Murad dress was just stunning. Not really a fall dress, but too pretty to poo poo. The headband I could do without; makes the look a little too precious.
Out of the pinks and back to the metallics! Blair Waldorf, I mean Carrie, picked another very fall flavored Georges Chakra dress as well as a deep gold sequined mini. The number of hair changes alone was unbelievable.
And this dress? I know it's hard to pay attention to it when her body shimmer is drawing you in so hard core, but freaking flawless. Working on some more IDs, especially on her unstoppable shoe collection.
Let's hear your favs and be sure to see what her evil twin has to say on the matter at Pink Lou Lou.

Carrie and Taylor at BMI

Who's excited for the CMAs tonight?! I can't wait to see what Carrie wears this year. Last night at the BMI celebration, Carrie, who seems to be growing out her bangs TG, wore a Roberto de Villacis dress with Jimmy Choos and some Johnathon Arndt jewelry. She's awesome at exploring non-big name designers, right? Taylor Swift and her deflated hair arrived in Emilio Pucci, best friend of the PYT crowd and nearly identical shoes. Have these two set the tone for the flashy, splashy red carpet looks for the CMA crowd? Let's hope so.

My Frenemy Karma

Hi, I'm DON and I'm a big loser.
 Not, not like that.
Nope, that's not right either. More like this...

Workin' It Out: Duff, Portman, Tiz

Now that I'm back from a week of chips, guacamole, Coronas, and tequila, I weep at the thought of attempting the gym. If preggo Hilary Duff, new mom Natalie Portman, and daily workout warrior Ashley Tisdale can do it, I probably can, too. Sighs loudly.

Glamed Up Girls: Alba, Stone, Lopez, Washington

Lots o' pretty came out for Glamour's awards. Long and formal seemed to be the theme of the evening. A super high slit is oh so JLo, especially when it's Versace. Kerry Washington nearly always gets it right. I'm in love with this Marchesa sunny yellow gown.
Emma Stone continues to crush it in Lanvin, one of her most worn designers. Jessica Alba does a sparkly Wednesday Adams in Tory Burch.
Chelsea Handler, get a stylist stat!! This Stella jumpsuit looks both ridiculous and incredibly uncomfortable to sit in since it is skin tight on her. Lea Michele does glam on the regular and, amazingly, found a Jenny Packham dress I really like.

High Flying Fashion: LC, Kim, Michelle, Jessica

I'm back my lovelies! So sorry I wasn't able to blog much from Mexico, it was kind of full-time client schmoozing and coma like sleep when I could.  Let's jump back in with something quick, shall we? Here's Michelle Williams, Lauren Conrad, Kim Kardashian, and Jessica Alba with her youngest all at LAX. Michelle is busy promoting her new film My Week with Marilyn.
Lauren Conrad is reportedly back on the market after a brief fling with Derek Hough.
Kim Kardashian returned from a quick trip to Minnesota to visit her husband Kris. Think she had her makeup team do "mourning minimal" makeup scheme? Also did you catch SNL's amazing Fairytale Divorce skit? Too perfect.
Jessica Alba does chic mommy traveler like a pro.
