IMHO Parks & Rec is eclipsing The Office as one of the best written comedies on TV (30 Rock still wins).  Last week's episode was the best episode ever. In case you missed it, check out the phrase I CANNOT STOP SAYING.

Also, as if I needed to say this, but guess what I'm being for Halloween? A freaking Pawnee Goddess with a Gertrude stein.

Celeb News Roundup: Mariska, Hilary, Kate, Nikki

It's been awhile since we caught up on the news, so let's dig in shall we? Mariska Hargitay, 47, and her handsome hunk of a hubby Peter Hermann, 44, have adopted again! Just six months ago, they welcomed adopted daughter Amaya into their lives (along with son August, 5) and were so happy that last week they filed paperwork to adopt again. Little did they know that one week later, son Andrew Nicholas Hargitay Hermann would be their son!  With two infants, a young son, and a 4 day a week work schedule, mama is staying busy!

In other baby news, Viola Davis, 46, from The Help announced she adopted a daughter named Genesis a few days ago with her husband. Also, Hilary Duff has announced she is expecting a baby boy!

After 8 years together and 2 years engaged, Danny Masterson, 35, of That 70's Show married girlfriend Bijou Phillips, 31, at a castle in Ireland. She wore Zac Posen.  Nikki Reed, 23, who was married last weekend to American Idol contestant Paul McDonald, 27, after meeting in May and getting engaged 2 months later. They went out partying in Los Angeles last night where she sported her new ring.

Also married over the weekend were Shannen Doherty, 40, and her celebrity photographer husband. This is her 3rd marriage and will be chronicled in her upcoming reality show.  Kate Winslet has a new boyfriend who she met while vacationing with Richard Branson on his Necker Island. Her bf is Branson's nephew and the two were together in New Mexico yesterday.

Elle Women in Hollywood Awards: Aniston, Witherspoon, Richie

Almost always on my best dressed list is Evan Rachel Wood, who looked gorgeous in Alessandra Rich at Elle's Women in Hollywood event last night in Los Angeles. Jennifer Aniston, in a shimmery, plunging front and back Kaufmanfranco, stood out per usual. No, I don't think she's preggo, just clearly rolling sans spanx.

Gawd, Katherine Heigl is like the queen of matronly. I feel like she is trying to do the Catherine Zeta Jones elegant and well-dressed at a young age thing, but it is coming across as just a little too pedestrian for me, especially with that hair.  And why would she think that purse accented her dress? I want to help this one stat. No to Jenna Dewan's Edition by Georges Chakra dress. You are out with the big dogs, try harder.

  Conservative crowd straight ahead. Always classy, Freida Pinto went with a simple white Calvin Klein and added the Marni heels for some color. I think Elizabeth Olsen is so fresh faced, but this dress is pretty boring and does nothing for her figure.

 I love Amber Heard's pale pink dress, but a bold eyebrow and dark stained lips feel too heavy for this look. One or the other, if you must. Jayma Mays shares a laugh with Busy Phillips. Both need some makeup reapplied.

 Naomi Watts never misses a Calvin Klein moment. Nicole Richie is very into her heavy fringe for fall.

 The A-Listers hug it out. Reese went business-y in a suit. Speaking of matronly, what the woof was Chelsea Handler thinking?! This outfit doesn't suit her personality or the event at all.

NY Ladies: SJP, Kim, La La,

Sometimes Kim Kardashian looks so much like her mom it's impossible to believe she hasn't had some of the same plastic surgery. Here she is at the Angel Ball in New York last night after returning from her promotional trip to Dubai.

 Demi Moore has been promoting her film efforts solo in New York. Her marriage seems to be rocky, but she still has on her wedding ring. She is looking Taylor skinny though.

Kim and Kourtney filmed scenes for their New York show yesterday. I so get the feeling Kourtney is checking out of this game. She used to be fun to watch, but seems to have much less interest in the fame game in the past couple years.

Aubrey Plaza, Nicole Richie, and Amy Smart were all present for the EMA awards. NicRic's Keepsake mustard colored dress is adorable and if I could pull off that color, I'd snatch it up in a second! It's only $145 at Planet Blue if you are interested.

 Kristin Cavallari is keeping busy - mostly with shopping and trysts with her former fiance - since ending her run on DWTS. 

 Lauren Conrad continues to quietly spend time with Derek Hough. You know I'm crazy when I see all the websites labeling this pic as her leaving a nail salon, but I know plainly that this is outside of Kate Somerville. I'm still waiting to see her in the reception area someday. I love her maxi skirt and am on the hunt to ID it. 

Mom's to be Beyonce and Hilary Duff keep it glam during their pregnancies. Looking good, ladies!

 And this photo I find hilarious. Kim and her mom were paid to fly to Dubai, don floor-length gowns, and appear...at a mall to promote a milkshake shop. No words.

As for me, I'm wishing I was still in Montecito. We had the most wonderful weekend at a beach front home with unreal weather. I went paddle boarding for the first time and have a new found respect for the sport that looked so easy. We went wine tasting, had urban picnics (aka cheese, crackers, fruit and wine on the patio), played cards, did some shopping, and plenty of swimming. All this travel is surprisingly giving me a worse case of wanderlust. Being home feels like a major bummer compared to all the fun I've had on the road. But I'm having a dinner party tomorrow to welcome a newly transplanted co-worker to town and on Thursday I'll be in Phoenix for another day of life on the road.

Giuliana Rancic Shares Her Battle with Breast Cancer

Giuliana Rancic, 37, announced today that she has breast cancer. It was discovered during the process of her third round of IVF treatments. She will undergo radiation treatments for six weeks.

Reese Witherspoon took part in the Avon breast cancer walk in New York over the weekend. I definitely had that exact same jacket when I was in 3rd grade.

 The doctor is no fun but it's always better to know early. Go every year, my lovelies!
