Movie Premieres: Julianne, Selena, Hayden

Selena Gomez is just the cutest little thing. Speaking of things, she was at the premiere for The Thing in Los Angeles. She'll next be hosting the European Video Music Awards in Ireland.
Hayden Panetierre, Julia Roberts, Carrie Anne Moss, and Shannon Lucio celebrated the premiere of their long awaited film Fireflies in the Garden. It was set to be released in 2008, but has been held up until now. Also starring Willem Dafoe, Ryan Reynolds, and Emily Watson, it looks like an intense family drama and I totally want to see it.
Julianne Hough continues to promote Footloose, trying something new with her red lips. Do you like?

Mom Patrol: January, Hilary, Jennifer, Ashlee

Hilary Duff is still working hard on selling her new book though it is taking it's toll. She says she is totally exhausted, but happy.  Word is Jennifer Garner is expecting her first boy, following daughters Violet and Seraphina.
Ashlee Simpson has been spending most of her time in New York with her new boyfriend while baby Bronx stays in LA with dad. Meanwhile still no confirmation as to whether big sis Jessica is the family way. Another Jessica, Alba that is, is suing Belly Bandit for using her name as a celebrity endorsement. She's been out and about with both daughters recently because we know she loves to dine out.
Kourtney Kardashian gets in the Halloween spirit while shooting Kim and Kourtney Take New York. She will appear on ANTM as the contestants model her line of clothes from Sears. Orlando Bloom continues to follow around his wife Miranda Kerr as she books gig after international gig. They seem so happy and content, I love it.
January Jones brings son Xander to work as she returns to the set of Mad Men. He's just a tiny little thing, isn't he?  Kate Hudson dons a wig while filming her latest flick. Eldest son Ryder keeps her company on set.

Kim Kardashian's Wedding Part 2

Fifteen minutes. Fifteen minutes (and that includes two commercial breaks) is what Kim Kardashian's wedding footage boiled down to after a 4 hour special. As usual, I really enjoyed seeing the clothes and makeup, much more than the "drama" of this family. The girls really are gorgeous. I know they have the money and a team of people to look the way they do, but I can't imagine the time and energy that goes into looking that "done" in a new outfit, sometimes more, every single day. I, for example, was too busy watching this show on my DVR this morning to apply anything more than mascara before running out the door. Whack priorities, right?

Thanks for passing on the smoky eye this time.
A mouth light to pluck brows is intense!
Oh, and I also love Kim's hair without the extensions. That length was great on her!
No extensions needed!
Let's talk about the scrilla. It is both amazingly cunning business sense and horrifically tacky how nearly every aspect of this wedding was sponsored. Everything from the bachelorette party to the bridal shower highlighted the products involved. I'm certain when all is said and done, profit was made on these nuptials by the bride and (maybe) groom. A bride who, as Kris so delicately put it, was a shop girl at a boutique in the Valley 4 years ago. At least he didn't say unknown porn star?

Dresses...did anybody feel a little satisfaction in seeing that even Kim Kardashian needed the clamps to try on wedding dresses? Something is wrong with wedding dress sample sizes from what I've seen with my friends. All of her choices looked beautifully tailored, but not so easy to move around in. Dancing with that voluminous train for one thing looked rough. I wouldn't have picked any of those dresses, but to each her own.

It is uncomfortably obvious that Kim and Kris don't know each other all that well. They take jabs at each other and seemed completely miserable at their rehearsal dinner. I did laugh when they were lovingly looking over childhood photos and Kris says "All you girls had mustaches!" Bets are on as to whether they can align their lives or if her love of the spotlight becomes more than he can take.  But I think he likes it, too.

Let's hear it, girls! I loved your comments from yesterday; what did you think?

Champers Party: Rachel, Jaime, LC, Selma

Blonde bobs on patrol at a party for Veuve...a party I really should have been invited to. Veuve, you are my favorite! Jaime King in Jason Wu and Ali Larter in a structured two piece; anybody know who made this?
Lauren Conrad keeps it classy and simple in Paper Crowd and LC Lauren Conrad heels with  bestie Lo.  Selma Blair in Marc Jacobs and Rachel Zoe in her own line both went with waves and brought their sons.
I'm kind of glad Rachel had a boy. Roger really deserved that.
Camilla Belle picks a print by Ralph Lauren (meh) and Zoe Sadana in a Jason Wu cocktail dress (love per usual).
There are a ton of ankle straps happening lately. I really hate them personally though I don't mind the look; I feel trapped in my shoes in a way I would feel trapped to a bike in those click-in shoes. Do you wear them?

Kim's Wedding Part 1

Part one of Kim Kardashian's wedding special aired last night - did you watch? I was surprised they produced it like an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, focusing on individual "problems" of family members rather than editing it around Kim's wedding plans. The shots of Kris' plastic surgery were completely unnecessary and stomach turning.

Khloe and Lamar remain my favorite pair to watch, but it is interesting seeing Kris Humphries trying to fit his way into a family where men typically shut up and followed the ladies' lead. Good luck with that buddy.  The whole episode just kind of magnified how annoying each of them are: Kris is immature and sticks his foot in his mouth constantly, Khloe can be straight up mean, Kourtney is so boring now, Kim is really completely focused on her wants and needs, and Rob just wants his Taco Bell. When Scott comes across as sympathetic and the voice of reason, I'm really uncomfortable.

That said, I can't wait to see the rest of this play out tonight. Check out some shots of Kim and Kourtney not being over the top at all while out and about in New York.

Bump Watch: Hilary Duff

Hello my loves! I'm back! Whew, a week in New York and a weekend in DC, topped off with a birthday party in Manhattan Beach. Glad to be home...even if it is only for 4 days and I have company to entertain!

We are absolutely going to talk about Kim Kardashian's wedding, especially because I accidentally checked all my mags and books so I spent the 5 hour flight home yesterday watching a Kardashian marathon. But first, let's catch up with our little preggo Hilary Duff. Promoting her new book, Hil truly glowed in an Isabel Marant dress and that Vanessa Bruno blazer all the PYTs are rocking. I also think she picked an adorable travel ensemble. She seems to be hiding her bump still, but soon she's gonna pop!

More on my DC trip after the jump...
