Red Carpet Round Up: Green, Holmes, Paltrow, Longoria

Ashley Green and Katie Holmes turned up to MaxMara in their line for an event in Los Angeles last night. This look feels very 90's to me.  Go on girl, Miss Janet!

Gywneth Paltrow wore Alexander Wang to the Alice and Olivia sponsored Bent on Learning event in New York last night. Sanaa Lathan went for a summery gown.

 

 Still sporting the tan makeup was Molly Sims in a peach J Mendel cocktail dress. Kelly Rutherford disappointed in the styling of her Alice and Olivia dress.

Eva Longoria looked stunning in Monique Lhuillier. I mean, perfection! She is in Washington DC promoting the Farm Worker Help Bill. She spoke during the day in a color blocked Victoria Beckham dress and purple Ferragamo heels.  Do you like?

Blake and Ryan Premiere Green Lantern

Blake Lively and her handsome counterpart Ryan Reynolds premiered The Green Lantern in Hollywood last night. Blake wore Chanel and some amazing, over-the-top jewels. She may not have a stylist, but somebody definitely put this look together for her.

Earlier she went on The Tonight Show where she paired Missoni with Loubs and a ton more Lorraine Schwartz jewels. She was a jewelry wearing princess yesterday!

Kim Kardashian Preps for her Wedding

Kim Kardashian cut her hair yesterday and tweeted that it was shoulder length. Um, no, but it is shorter. Normally I would be surprised to see a bride do this, but we know she'll be wearing a weave for her weddding. BTW please note the Uggs in June. She has been busy registering for gifts all over Beverly Hills with her fiance.

  Kim went on The Tonight Show where she alluded to an end-of-the-summer wedding, but then slipped in saying they were planning it in 60 days (yes, we already know she is getting married in July).  I would like to say that those Kardashians have the best shapewear, don't they? I know they favor Shapewear by Body Wrap...because I read it not because I'm a creeper!

And now for a close up on how this ring floats over her hand. Would you not catch this on everything? Kim said she knew after 2 months of dating him that she would marry Kris and introduced him to jeweller Lorraine Schwartz for a little guidance (aka MAKE IT HUGE MOFO!).

Navy and Polka Dots: Underwood, Stone, Palermo

This post is united by a very thin thread of relevancy, but bear with me as my thoughts ramble.  Carrie Underwood did an informal photoshoot at her hotel in Australia today doing something very outside the norm: covering up those shiny gams of hers! Love the color on her, but I got to say this ensemble is a little Real Housewives of NJ or OC for me (shut your ears, PinkLouLou).

Love blue and I also love polka dots. And Emma Stone.  She really goes for the laugh without fear of looking ridiculous, much like Anna Faris, whom I also admire.

 Finally, let's combine the two: blue polka dots! Got to love when life inspires art that inspires life.  Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf is of course based on socialite Olivia Palermo. So when I saw Olivia in this Bensoni dress that her fictional character has donned, I thought that was just perfection.  I like it short and tufted, but not as a mullet dress.  And that concludes this ramble!

All Dolled Up: Heidi, Emma, Diane, Jennifer

Heidi Klum and Jennifer Hudson both wore Michael Kors to an amfAR event in New York last night. Backless, plunging, with a thigh high slit? Only Heidi (or maybe Blake) could pull this off so effortlessly.

 Jennifer Hudson looks so great, I'm happy for her.  Kesha however opted for her own version of formal wear in Abed Mahfouz. 

 Completely in love with this Razan Alazzouni dress Emma Roberts wore on the Today show. I do not even like mint green and somehow it has me hooked.  I also love Diana Kruger's choice for the Liaisons Au Louvre II Charity Gala Dinner.  The dress is Alessandra Rich and has some great pops of color.  Who gets bested dressed in your opinion?

Rose and Kristen Take Bridesmaids Down Under

Rose Byrne and Kristen Wiig took their smash comedy to Australia, Rose's home country, today.  Photography/decorating tip: everybody looks great surrounded in pink.  Rose looks especially phenomenal in a red Christian Cota dress. And I think Kristen Wiig is so sneaky pretty. She plays all these really plain, tragic characters then surprises you when she cleans up so well, no? 

PYT Parade: Blake, Leighton, Selena, Emma, Brooklyn

Ready for your daily dose of PYTs? Blake Lively has been wearing some Tibi lately. This morning, she donned their blue mini dress with Charlotte Olympia pumps for a television appearance promoting The Green Lantern. Can't say the floral printed dress goes well with the leopard print shoes, but separately they work. Over at the Standard's Biergarten, she wore Marc Jacobs and Fifi Loubs to a benefit.

 Emma Roberts premiered her film The Art of Getting By at the Thompson Hotel in NYC wearing Temperley London after a day of interviews around the Big Apple.

 Leighton Meester rocked out in Los Angeles, where she is in town to promote Monte Carlo, her movie with Selena Gomez that has all the quintessential elements of a Disney chick flick: a rich girl who looks exactly like Selena's character, best friends romping through Europe, boys...should be a good PG time.  Selena was also in town, performing in Santa Monica after cancelling a show due to a brief hospitalization. She claimed she was malnourished and exhausted - didn't she just return from a trip to Hawaii with her boyfriend, Justin Beiber?

 Brooklyn Decker is making a name for herself with a constant slew of promotional opps. Today she was on Good Morning America in Tibi to promote the Special Olympics after attending a fete last night for Annie Leibowitz in NYC.

Kim Kardashian wore one of her hundreds of blazers out to dinner at Katsuya last night with former Dancing With the Stars pal Mark Ballas and his girlfriend, AI alum Pia.

Earlier in the day, she took Kris Humphries shopping for his wedding suit, along with Rob Kardashian, Scott Disick, and Lamar Odom. Duh, of course a camera crew was there, too. Kim made $300,000 with her engagement story, you can only guess how much her wedding pay day and filming (yep, that's happening) will rake in.
