Gossip Girl in LA

Blake Lively got all boho'd out to shoot some of her last work for this season's Gossip Girl in Santa Monica.  Serena does seem more like a California girl, but then again, so does Blake so I could be confusing the two.  Season five of the show will draw to a close and the stars have 6 year contracts with the show. Leighton has already said she wants out and I think it would take a tremendous amount of money to keep Blake on board. So enjoy it while you can!

 "I do panic before I have to wear a really skimpy outfit, but I don't have enough willpower [to diet]. A Night at the Opera: Claire, Olsens, Emmy

We're back to this again? At the Met last night Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen continued this weird sunglass trend and overall baby grandma look.  The show was Rossini's "Le Comte Ory," sponsored by Yves Saint Laurent, and Claire Danes wore a lovely YSL gathered gown.

How gorgeous is Emmy Rossum in this sexy YSL colorblock number.  Not only is she headlining my favorite new show of the year (what? you STILL aren't recording Shameless??), she's also an opera singer herself.  She attended with Olivia Munn, who had never been to the opera and thus decided a Pretty Woman moment of gloves was necessary.

PRUNE!!  This photo haunts me. And probably you now, too.

Stork Delivery: Rachel Zoe

It's a boy weighing in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and parents Rachel Zoe and Rodge Berman named him Skyler Morrison Berman.  Remember on her show long ago when she said if it was a girl she was naming her Scarlet Begonia after a Grateful Dead song? So there's that.

It's a not so sunny day here in San Diego, but I'm hoping that changes because I really want to go on a roller coaster. But not right now because we really tore it up last night. Happy Friday girls.

[Insert your favorite Anchorman quote here.] When I moved at age 10, I wasn't really sure what to do at recess on my first day of 5th grade at a new school. Enter Kristin who walked up to me and said, "Hi! I'm Krisi, want to be friends?" And we have ever since. Summer camp, junior high, high school, NCL, dance team, trips to Disneyland, Mexico, Lake Tahoe, and we even went out of state to the same college.  Now us glamazons are off on her bachelorette to San Diego. Sucker Punch Premiere: Vanessa, Abbie, Emily

The girls turned out for the premiere of Sucker Punch last night. Vanessa Hudgens went long and loose in Jenny Packham (one of her favorite designers). Abbie Cornish went for a vibrant Amanda Wakeley gown.

 Emily Browning went the opposite of her sex pot character in this Erdem flapper dress and goth makeup. I can so see this being in an InStyle how your style has evolved spread in a couple years.  Meow! Real World of San Diego Jamie Chung has come a long way. Looking gorgeous in Giambattista Valli, you'll see her next as Stu's fiancee in Hangover 2.

 I think I'm going to like this movie, hope I can find a night to see it because I'm feeling Halloween inspired. 

Moms on the Go: Naomi, Kardashian, SJP

Jennifer Hudson has been constantly on the go since December. She's now in New York doing some promotional work, both for her album and for Weight Watchers. She has lost 80 lbs, dropping down to a size 6 and 150 lbs (she is 5'9).  Kourtney Kardashian has been spending every free moment shopping for furniture. She spent some time doing that with her mom in Studio City.

 Naomi Watts hits a red eye flight with her sons to New York. 

 Sarah Jessica Parker took her twin daughters out in New York. 

They popped in for snacks at Dean and Deluca.

Sister Sister: Hudgens & Cyrus

Vanessa Hudgens, 22, is super tight with her little sis Stella, 15. She brought her sister along for courtside seats at the Lakers game, where she also chatted with Zachary Levi.  Flare jeans alert! Yup, it's sweeping the celeb nation, go pick up a pair (or chances are you still have some in your closet).

The two went to the gym together this morning. Not sure if Stella is on Spring Break or just doesn't go to school?

Miley Cyrus took her little sister Noah shopping at the Beverly Center. Their parents recently reconciled from their separation.

A Girl's Gotta Eat: Jessicas, Reese, Malin, Kiki

Jessica Simpson has gone blonder, loaded up on the spray tan, and been working on her style. She's hired some new help to get her look together, including Tracy Anderson, trainer of Gwyneth Paltrow.  Better, no?  Here she is leaving dinner with her fiance in Santa Monica.

 Jessica Alba is eating for two and went out with her family for lunch in Beverly Hills.

 How cute is Reese Witherspoon as she picks up a snack at the grocery store?  Malin Akerman grabs dinner at Bouchon in Bev Hills.

 Shenae Grimes went to her fav spot, Joan's on Third, for lunch with a friend.

Paris Hilton grabbed a bite in Beverly Hills.

DON's Deal: Checking In

Hello, lovies! Hope you've been well.  The first half of my vacay has wrapped and it was wonderful. While in Palm Springs, we did some shopping, pool time, cheered on our Jayhawks to victory, celebrated my mom's birthday at Morgan's, saw some family friends from home, and I went hiking with my sister in Joshua Tree National Park. Whew! Today I'm reluctantly getting some work done because the anxiety of it piling up (and the emails backing up in my phone) was too much to ignore.  I'm also making progress with the kitchen remodel, which I'll discuss after the jump for those who are interested.

Things that happened while I was gone (and thank you to those who sent me heads ups!):

Bradley Cooper realized he was much prettier than Renee Zellweger and she supposedly heard he was smooshing Jessica Biel so they are dunzo.  We are at the tail end of Hollywood Break Up Season and should expect Spring Love to start pouring in.

Mel B was the third Spice Girl to announce she is expecting again. She gave a shout out of thanks to each of her bandmates, noticeably leaving Victoria Beckham off the list.  The two are rumored to not get along well.

Carrie Underwood, who is totes NOT preggo, did the impossible and made Herve Leger look new and original again. Gorgeous!

 

 Hilary Duff has seemingly been changing her hair non-stop since her wedding. Her latest look is extra ombre with side-swept bangs. You like?

My parents took Cholula back to "Summer Camp" since I will barely be home in April. Watching them drive off this morning nearly broke my heart. My mom sent me this photo from the road and I can't wait to see them again.
