DON's Deal: Spring Cleaning, Makeup Edition

Really, who wants to read about Spring Cleaning? My guess? Nobody. But until I have time to launch my next blog baby, I'm going to just go ahead and do some posts here about my life and what I'm up to.

Spring Cleaning to me is more about fresh starts and anticipating warmer days when I will want to be indoors much less than I already am. Getting these chores done means more free time to take my beach cruiser Archie down to Manhattan Beach when the weather heats up.

Bump Watch: Pregnant Celebrities 2011 Game!

I have a fun little quiz for all you celebaby lovers! Wanna play? Questions all relate to currently pregnant celebrities and answers are after the jump. Give yourself one point for every person named (no cheating!):

Christina Aguilera Has a New Gig

Christina Aguilera has opted against rehab and for a new job. She will be a singing judge on an American Idol - style show called The Voice. She spent yesterday at Smashbox doing some promotional photos.

 Meanwhile her son Max has been in the care of his father. The two went out to lunch yesterday.

Big Apple Celebs: Beyonce, Miley, Kelly, LaLa

Jessica Simpson arrived in New York with her fiance. The two have some business meetings and kick started their trip with dinner out at a vegan restaurant.  Beyonce and Jay Z seemed happy together (phew!) at a basketball game.

 Kelly Ripa grabbed coffee on the set of a commercial shoot. LaLa is busy filming her reality show. I really liked her wedding special and look forward to her show about transitioning to NY with her hubby.

 Malin Akerman keeps busy in between promotional interviews.

Miley went out with her family last night, as well as stopped by the Jimmy Fallon Show wearing Givenchy.

Early Spring Fashion Transition

It's been done and done again, but if you are starting to feel that sun coming out, a super safe bet this Spring is to reach for your non-blue denim. Charcoal, grey, and black jeans are what the ladies of Hollywood are all about right now, and it looks extra crisp paired with black and white.  Some easy to copy examples from Kim Kardashian, Kate Moss, Emily Blunt, Frankie Sandford, Emma Roberts, and of course, Victoria Beckham.

  

   

 If that non-groundbreaking tip is just a little safe for you, you can girly it up with some pastels, blush, or olive green shades.  Not a Paris fan, but I am in love with her light grey leather bomber with a hoodie attachment.  LeAnn Rimes also put together a great outfit for her miniscule frame while traveling recently.

Malin Akerman Takes NYC

Malin Akerman has been stepping up her style game, trying some new looks. She is currently in New York promoting HappyThankYouMorePlease, Josh Radnor's directorial debut (you know him as Ted on HIMYM).

Love this Derek Lam blouse and Stella McCartney skirt. I'm so into lace/scalloped/eyelet minis right now. 

She loves strapless and this red Jean Paul Gaultier cocktail dress fits the bill.

Take Me Home Tonight Premiere: Anna, Michelle, Teresa

Anna Faris, in a red Donna Karan twist dress and Brian Atwood heels, was having fun with her husband, Parks and Rec's adorable Chris Pratt, at last night's premiere of Take Me Home Tonight.  They are both in the film.

 Topher Grace, Teresa Palmer, and Michelle Trachtenberg also star in what I would call Can't Hardly Wait: 13 Years Later.  I am not a fan of Teresa's look. Hot pink Christopher Kane choker dress, Tabitha Simmons heels, and a messy topknot just don't work for me

 A little overdressed, but gorgeous in Marchesa. 

The Gossip Girls: Blake and Leighton

Blake Lively attended a NYC dinner for Chanel last night as part of her duties repping their handbag line. She wore a Chanel dress and handbag, with Loub Lolo 69 pumps.

Meanwhile, Leighton Meester looks svelte and chic in a photoshoot for a mag in Lithuania. I am so excited about color blocking for fall.  I just wish I could pull off orange. Will you be trying this trend?

Retail Therapy: RiRi, Tiz, Reese, Kardashians

Rihanna sports a new hairstyle while shopping in Sydney.  I am over the rojo and ready for her next reinvention.  Katie Holmes took daughter Suri shopping in Canada - pretty sure this is Suri's favorite activity.

Isla Fisher takes advantage of a trip to NYC to promote Rango to sneak in a shopping excursion. 

 Ashley Tisdale shops in Beverly Hills with her mom.  Not gonna ever get me on board with a denim vest.

Reese Witherspoon also gets in some shopping in Beverly Hills while Miley, sporting some crazy long extensions, hits the shoe shops in NYC while on break from SNL rehearsals.

Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian promote their spin-off show, which has been so boring thus far, then hit some shops. Kim's new single is so awful, I couldn't even listen to the whole thing. She has overexposed herself at this point - literally, of course, but I mean figuratively here.

Khloe did some shopping of her own before heading home to make a southern meal for her husband. Those suede teal Bibi heels are sure making the celebrity rounds!  Selena Gomez took her boyfriend Justice Beaver shopping for his 17th birthday before treating him to dinner.

Eva Longoria seems to be moving on from her marriage quite well.  Glad she is having fun while out shopping with her friends.
