I think I'm going to put this past weekend at Stagecoach as one of the best weekends of my life. Yes, it was that good. Every performer was completely amazing, the weather was perfection (not too hot, not cold at night), and the company was outrageously fun as always. We stayed a friend's house in La Quinta and slowly our group multiplied as people came by to visit and then never left all weekend. At last count there were about 30 people sleeping at the house and more there during the day. Most of us grew up together and we haven't all had a big slumber party like that probably since we went houseboating years ago.
Days were spent in the pool, playing horseshoes, reading magazines and popping a LOT of champagne. In the afternoon, we'd head over to the RV camping ground and make friends with people who came a long way for the concert. Both days were really fun, but last night took the cake. Carrie Underwood sang all her big hits, plus closed her set out with "Walk This Way" and then "Paradise City". I need her singing both of those on my iPod now because it was unreal. Rascal Flatts came on just after the big news broke and they said, "Osama Bin Laden, may you rest in pieces!" and then played the National Anthem with the 50,000 person audience singing along.
I would STRONGLY encourage anybody who likes country music to come to the festival next year as I wouldn't miss it for the world!! Sorry I didn't get a chance to see many of you, once I started dancing I sort of forgot I owned a phone as evidenced by 25 text messages of people asking where I was. Dancing duh! :)

I so love this post, and am so jealous. I am coming with next year. Hands down.
So happy to hear you had a great time! It was definitely an amazing weekend. So sorry we didn't get to meet up, but I agree it would have been crazy to meet up in all of the chaos.
This looks like SO much fun. I'm convinced I need to see Carrie live. I big puffy heart her!
