We lost a friend over the weekend after a tough battle against Cystic Fibrosis. I have so many amazing memories with Lara: beach trips to Santa Cruz, countless pool parties and sleepovers, and one intense perfume battle with a drugstore scent called Rap Musk which her parents weren't very happy about. She was a beautiful, hilarious person and is gone too soon. Please consider registering as an organ donor; Lara's donated lungs gave her more time and I know she used it well. Also, I urge you to create an advanced healthcare directive (as well as other estate planning documents) as it makes decisions in difficult times quick and simpler.
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. I was so happy to be at home with my mom and can't wait to have her come visit next week! Much love to all my mama friends!

i dont know what an advance healthcare directive is, but i am an organ donor, my aunt died a couple of years back and she donated everything, down to her skin and her corneas. my uncle explained it all and it made sense. i HAD to do it. no doubt about it, she died so suddenly and its something i did for her.

sorry about your amiga DON. i am a registered organ donor and in the bone marrow registry as well since my dad needed a bone marrow transplant. some 20something chick sitting in a pub somewhere in Germany saved my dad's life...it's amazing what is possible.
