If you follow me on twitter, you may remember me explaining how my Le Creuset stock pot exploded back in early November (in less dramatic terms, the interior bottom shot up out of the pot in cracked pieces). After the jump, I'll finish the saga because I like hearing about your experiences with brands/products you like.
I was shocked because I expected much better quality with their reputation and price tag. I contacted customer service on their guarantee of replacement and guess what arrived today? I must say, over four months wait with no word from the company and not even a note in my package was disappointing, but I am glad to report they were true to their word on replacement...just when soup season is over. Ce la vie!

OMG I LOVE Le Creuset! I don't have any (yet). Good to hear that they replaced it for you.
Similar story: I had a white Dooney & Bourke purse that Hubs gave to me for Christmas one year. We were packing for New Orleans, so I took it out and it had turned YELLOW! Luckily, I was able to ship it back to them and they replaced it. Hubs asked me the other day if something happened to Lewis (Louis Vuitton), would they do the same thing? I said probably not! :)
That is SHOCKING and HORRID! My goodness! Glad you got your new one in time for NEXT soup season! HA!
my mom bought me the knockoff version from sam's club. i love it. glad to know companies will back up their products.
i had several china pieces from Lenox develop "crazing" (cracking of the glaze) and they replaced everything free of charge. muy excellente to deal with. i didn't even have to send back the defective china...which of course is not the only ones we actually use.
