High Flying Fashion: Ian, Jake, Kim, Nicole

Jake Gyllenhaal makes travel look good as he returns to Los Angeles after his Australian promo tour.  Nicole Scherzinger heads home after arriving back in LA, where we are experiencing a warm winter.  I heard it will be 85 on Sunday!

 Jennifer Hudson seems to be retaining her svelte figure.  She traveled to Washington DC for a business gig.  Kim Kardashian prepares to teleport to the Voyager in her Lloyd Klein Couture jacket.

 Kelly Osbourne cuddles her pup Sid after making a safe landing.  Ian Somerholder flashed a grin and a peace sign en route to his ride.  What do you guys think about him?  I haven't heard much from you on this guy. Do we like?

As for moi, I will be flying the red eye to NY tonight in black leggings, a black boyfriend cardigan, a super soft v-neck tee, black suede boots, and Burberry wrap with my Emergen-C mimosa in one hand and 30 Rock on my iPod in the other. I have a very packed social schedule including my sorority roommate's wedding!!!, but have fingers crossed for Wi-Fi on my flight home Sunday so I can write about NicRic and Joanna Garcia's impending weddings! Cheers dolls!

Hot Couple of the Minute: Ryan Gosling and Blake Lively

After being spotted together at Disneyland in October followed by Blake's dumping long time boyfriend Penn Badgley, more assumptions can be made that she is seeing Ryan Gosling after she jetted back from quick trip to Paris to attend his Blue Valentine premiere.  Blake paired her newly gifted Chanel shoes and purse with an Isabel Marant dress and Burberry scarf.  Michelle Williams wore an Azzaro Spring 2011 dress.  Ryan wore his sexy face. 

 Remember her?  Michelle Trachtenberg, my little red carpet princess who abruptly stopped making appearances right around when I started counting how many nights in a row she could go out.  She lives in DON's special celeb club with President Kiki and VP Mischa Barton.

Posh Portfolio: British Fashion Awards

Victoria Beckham attended the British Fashion Awards where she was nominated for the Designer Brand Award, but lost out to Mulberry.  She posed with her consistent Posh Lean Back, which probably makes the people standing normally next to her feel so weird.  It always gets me singing...

 "You know Posh don't dance, she just pull up her pants and do the rock-a-way. Now lean back. Lean back. Lean back. Lean back."  My first animated gif, of course it's Posh. Thanks for those Photoshop lessons, boss, I'm putting them to good use.

Blake Lively is the New Face of Chanel

This should surprise nobody, but Blake Lively is in Paris shooting her first commerical as spokeswoman for Chanel.  Pretty much a dream gig for the 23-year-old mega fan of the brand.  I'm working on a post of the PYTs who I think made the biggest wardrobe improvements this year and obvio Blake will hit the list.  Who do you think I should include?

PYTs Party for Alice and Olivia

Newlywed Odette Yustman (who is just the cutest thing, isn't she?), Nicky Hilton, Kourtney Kardashian, Ashlee Simpson, Denise Richards, and Katharine McPhee were all decked out at the Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet holiday fete last night.  The event, held in West Hollywood, collected donation for the charity Baby Buggy.  The ladies sported their best of the line, which I love for party dresses.  Kourtney Kardashian wears their stuff pretty often, too.

 SO OVER Denise.  She needs to find a new project to focus on outside of acting.  I hope Katharine's 15 minutes aren't completely up, she seems like a cool person and talented to boot.

Ladies Night Out: Beckinsale, Theron, Jolie, Bell

Kate Beckinsale attended the Over in NYC, the "Ice Queen" hosted a benefit for her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Benefit (if you don't follow me on twitter, I go to the same salon as Charlize & that's what they call her).  Can't be totally icy if she's raising money for others, right?  She posed in a Versace and heels with a Chloe jacket beside her pal Liv Tyler. 

Angelina Jolie wore a Atelier Versace angora gown to the premiere of The Tourist.  IMO, she looks both stunning and predictable at the same time.  I feel like she wears a variation of this style in black nearly all the time. The white is a nice change, but I will never like white heels unless they are patent kitten heels on a child at Easter. 

Katy Perry is slowly going more sophisticated in her red carpet style, which is probably a good thing when the man you married always looks pretty ridiculous.  She wore an Elie Saab couture gown to the premiere of The Tempest last night.  The dress is great, but the lilac color comes across as looking like it faded out in the wash.

And at the Japan premiere of Burlesque, Kristen Bell chose an adorable Azzaro spring 2011 cocktail dress while Christina Aguilera surprises in a Elie Saab fall 2010 floor length gown.

ACA Awards Fashion: Carrie, Laura, Hillary, Jewel

Big winner of the night Carrie Underwood has become a major fan of Georges Chakra and I can't say I blame her. She looked great in red pair with Rene Caovilla heels and clutch.  I haven't been able to ID the other dresses quite yet, but I really wasn't blown away by anybody.  Laura Bell Bundy looks ready for Dancing with the Stars, Jewel's dress makes me think of a first challenge on Project Runway, and Miranda Lambert...let's just say she shouldn't look to Married to Rock for fashion inspiration.  This was the first year for the American Country Awards and they totally tanked in the ratings so perhaps it will be the last.

Love or Hate: Hair Tinseling

When ombre hair began trending, I thought it looked tacky but eventually bought into the hype because it is so much cheaper and easier to maintain than full-blown highlights.  You can make me eat my words if I go back on this statement, but I will not be participating in the trend towards hair tinseling. 

The process is similar to getting extensions and a stylist attaches strategically placed shimmering strands in your hair.  Beyonce, Kesha, Adrienne Maloof of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and now Whitney Port (who posted the hair shot below on her blog) are all putting the bling in their weaves to deck their heads rather than the halls with some holiday spirit.

Ladies Night Out MegaPost: Katy, Emma, Carey, Jessica

At The Trevor Project Live, Darren Criss and the Warblers performed Teenage Dream with Katy Perry, fresh off the stage from KIIS' Jingle Ball.  My feelings fluctuate for KP, but I have to admit she is working incredibly hard to promote her current album.  Jessica Alba looked poised and polished in a Valentino lace cocktail dress.

  Kate Walsh wore a onesie on the red carpet; definitely a risky move.  Anna Kendrick wore a form-fitting Zuhair Murad that feels too much like an Herve Lerger to me.

Katy Perry wore this purple Zuhair Murad to both the Jingle Ball and The Trevor Project.  Victoria Justice is the cutest, but here we see another Herve Lerger wannabe in her Michael Kors Barathea Bustier dress.

 Selena Gomez didn't get the memo that PYTs were playing dress up on the red carpet...

 Over the weekend, Jessica Alba, Emma Roberts, and Chloe Moretz all wore Miu Miu to the opening of their London shop on Bond Street. 

 And finally at the British Independent Film Awards, Carey Mulligan chose a dress I'd covet for holiday cocktail parties with her Prabal Gurung red cocktail dress.  Emma Roberts wore TopShop with a Miu Miu necklace she got from her appearance at their store launch.

Baby It's Cold Outside: Alba, Agron, Hale, Witherspoon

While it is nearly 70 degrees here in Los Angeles today, I am preparing for a trip where coats are a necessity.  Over the weekend, these celebs bundled up in coats that were practical (Jessica Alba, Reese Witherspoon) to trendy (Dianna Agron in a leopard cape!!!, Halle Berry in a drapey trench) to costume-like (Lucy Hale, Fergie). Which coat would you steal?
