Kardashian Catch Up

Kim Kardashian chatted with the Donald at a party for her perfume, which also celebrated her guest appearance on The Apprentice.  This dress is so different for her and I really like it.

Kim spent an afternoon shopping in SoHo while her sister Kourtney left the studio after filming a role on One Life to Live.  She is not playing herself on the show.

Ladies Who Lunch: Brit, Halle, Rachel Zoe, Katy

Britney Spears grabs lunch at Crustacean in Beverly Hills (by the looks of that warm outfit, you'd think she was in NYC).  Audrina Patridge also grabbed lunch in Beverly Hills.

 Rachel Zoe and her man-jewelry loving husband Rodge lunched at Toast in Beverly Hills.  A coffee and a lemon wedge for Ms. Zoe!  I'm convinced she could carry a baby to term without us being able to tell.

Katy Perry heads to Circus in New York for a business lunch.  Jennifer Love Hewitt grabbed a bite with her new boyfriend in West Hollywood.

 Just my luck.  I lunched at the same West Hollywood restaurant as Halle Berry and Garcelle Beauvais yesterday, but didn't see them.  Ali Larter took her baby bump to lunch in Brentwood.  She's getting ready to pop!

Workin' It Out: LC, Ashley, Kellan, Katy

Lauren Conrad filmed scenes for her new show as she got in a walk in Los Angeles.  She is acting as producer on the show and says she loves having control over how her life is portrayed.  Ashley Greene finished up another big workout in Los Angeles.

 Kellan Lutz goes jogging with his pup, while Katy Perry bundles up big time for a bike ride with her personal trainer in New York.

High Flying Fashion: Jessica, Tiz, Rihanna, Sienna

Ashley Tisdale returns home to Los Angeles after filming in Canada.  Sienna Miller makes the journey across the pond touching down at Heathrow.

 Recently pretty incognito, Jessica Alba hops a flight out of Los Angeles this morning.  Rihanna catches a train with her boyfriend out of London as she continues her European tour.

Kate Walsh is all smiles as she arrives at LAX.  As far as I know, she is still single after her quickie divorce.

Taylor Swift CMA 2010 Performance Dress

As requested, I searched for a photo of Taylor Swift standing up in her performance dress.  I searched the after party photos, backstage, everything and no luck yet.  I did learn that her dress is Reem Acra and I looked through the bridal collections, but haven't pinned it down yet.  Anybody have a photo of her standing up or know more details on her lovely gown?  Taylor could give some of her elders fashion advice after the showstoppers she brought out last night.

Harry Potter Premiere: Then and Now

What a difference nine years makes!  Below are photos from the original Harry Potter London premiere in November 2001 along with photos from last night's London premiere.  Emma Watson looks outrageous!  I'm so happy to see her growing up to be smart, beautiful, and supremely stylish.  Her dress is Raphael Lopez vintage lace and feather dress.  All are wearing the Royal British Legion's Paper Poppy, which is the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to the British Armed Forces and their dependants.

Carrie Underwood CMA 2010 Wardrobe Changes

Carrie Underwood, who hosted the 2010 CMAs with Brad Paisley, underwent numerous costumes changes, some better than others.  She made a big effort to change up her looks while keeping true to her girly girl nature.  The first dress is Ina Soltani with Brian Atwood heels and my personal favorite.  I would wear that whole look in a heartbeat.  Her Pamella Roland yellow gown was summery, but the hairstyle was a misstep. I am envious that she can pull of the color yellow without looking jaundiced.

 This pale pink dress with a rosette covered skirt was beyond gorgeous and is certainly romantic enough to be a wedding reception dress.  Love it and it's so her!  The dress is by Randi Rahm, shoes by Stuart Weitzman, jewelry by Bochic.
 

Her voluminous green cocktail dress by Rafael Cennamo would be tough to pull off without her perfect figure, but she does it well! Another great color on her. Her shoes are Jimmy Choo.

 The Georges Chakra ballerina dress was not my favorite - just a little too precious with all that tulle paired with rosettes.  Her most dramatic dress was another Randi Rahm dress, this time a plum asymmetrical performance gown.  Talk about volume!

 I am not a fan of capris at this length (again, she can wear whatever she wants with her figure), but I give her credit for mixing some rock and roll into her wardrobe.  As long as she sticks with girlie girl most of the time, she'll remain a DON favorite.

Gwyneth Paltrow CMA Performance

If you missed it, here is Gwyneth Paltrow's performance of Country Strong with Vince Gill at the CMAs.  She received a standing ovation and seemed relieved and happy when it was over.

I am absolutely stoked to see this movie, but it will be hard to top my favorite Gwyneth musical moment as performed with the incomparable Huey Lewis in Duets.  Love this song.

CMA 2010 Red Carpet: Gwyneth, Taylor, Miranda, Nicole

Gotta say, I'm not over the moon for Gwyneth Paltrow's Versace dress (I mean, who else, that dress screams Donatella) and Loubs.  Something in the proportions just doesn't work for me.  

Taylor Swift went the opposite direction of many of her fellow country stars and boy did it pay off.  Isn't she channeling a young Nicole Kidman with that slim statuesque Monique Lhuillier dress and that arctic tan?  She looks fabulous and sophisticated.  Miranda Lambert has been doing a lot of press and sharing how she worked hard to get down to her current size 6.  I gotta say, this dress is not really showing off her new figure and I would have like to see her do something a little different.

Nicole Kidman swings and misses BIG TIME as she poses with her husband Keith Urban.  Laura Bell Bundy makes me think of a Christmas party with all that glittering gold and those red, red lips.

 Double yikes by the Jane Dear girls.  I know LeAnn Rimes is trying hard to repair her image, but I personally am not buying it quite yet.  This outfit is truly atrocious.

CMA 2010 Red Carpet: Carrie, Leighton, Kellie, Julianne

Phyllis Nefler, eat your heart out!  While in Mexico, an older client asked about movies that you lived for during your childhood.  I said Troop Beverly Hills, Dirty Dancing and Clueless before realizing how vapid that made me sound, but it is true!  My point is that the fabulous Phyllis Nefler would proudly rock any of these over-the-top Barbie dresses that are parading down the CMA red carpet.

Back to the ladies!  Carrie Underwood wore a tiered Talbot Runhof gown that is a little overwhelming, but she's so flawless I can't complain.  Katherine Heigl is still searching for a good colorist and underwhelms in Farah Angsana.  I love the color, but a tan would have greatly improved the look.

This dress is a much better compromise from Leighton Meester.  She still look unique and young, but this Spring 2011 Emilio Pucci dress is pretty too.  I'm a fan of her Jimmy Choo heels and romantic, loose curls.  Seriously, PYTs, if you are in doubt on the red carpet, Emilio Pucci is your dude for a dress the public can clap for.  That said, if I were Leighton's stylist we'd be Gossip Girl-ing it up a lot more.  Julianne Hough went majorly voluminous Georges Chakra dress.  I am still confused as to how I feel on this; please comment, I think it will help me organize my thoughts.

A curvaceous Kellie Pickler flashes her engagement ring in a Pamella Roland dress.  What can I say, it suits her personality and I'm not surprised by her choice.  Sheryl Crow is ageless, isn't she?  This dress makes me think of the Southwest and just needs some turquoise jewels.
