Nicole Richie for InStyle UK

Fierce, no?  NicRic kisses goodbye her long dark hair with a colorful photoshoot for InStyle UK.  Here she wears some of fall fashion's biggest trends: lace, leather, military inspired, nude, and boots/booties.  Mixing the feminine with a tough edge is what to aim for. First dress is Emilio Pucci fall 2010 and a fresh take on the one-shoulder cocktail dress.  I think Pucci will continue to be the darling designer for PYTs in need of a cocktail dress.

If you've got the legs and the daring, leather leggings are huge for fall. These are Les Chiffoniers leather leggings teamed with a softer blouse with lace accents by Valentino fall 2010.

I'm so in love with Burberry Prorsum and here she's wearing their fall 2010 dress with a Winter Kate vest, and Erikson Beamon necklace.  Please share your opinion on sleeveless jackets.  I saw a sleeveless blazer (more like a peacoat) in a magazine and thought "Ew!", then went back to it and wound up tearing it out for my outfit inspiration board in my closet. (Yes, I have one of those, don't make fun of me. Or do, it's kind of silly.) Anyway, the jury is still out as to how I feel about them, but I'm still considering.

Coupled Up: Tori, Olivia, George, John

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott grab some Joe at Starbucks in Encino.  I orginally typed "share a laugh at Starbucks", then wanted to punch myself for thinking like that.  John Legend enjoys date night with his model girlfriend.

Olivia Palermo always looks so happy to be around her boyfriend.  I mean, who wouldn't be?  And George Clooney signs autographs as he leaves Ago with his girlfriend.  It is hard for me to post photos of him with his girlfriends because I hate them all.  George was one of my first die hard crushes.  I was probably the only 15 year old with photos up on her walls of a dude with salt and pepper hair.  Scary, I know.  Scarier is that he still looks exactly the same now!

Gossip Girl: Ed, Jessica, Taylor, and a Zinger

Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick spend some time together off set.  Ed's personal style makes me cringe.  Jessica has said that her character's adventurous wardrobe has made her willing to wear a lot more styles and colors.

Taylor Momsen back on set.  And, in case you missed Anne's hilarious comment yesterday, feast your eyes on this gem: "Taylor Momsen needs a hamburger, a shower, a set of involved parents, a haircut, a lesson in subtle eye makeup and a session with a good therapist. Not necessarily in that order." Ya burnt! Love it.

Workin' It Out: LC, Ashley, Hilary

Lauren Conrad kicks up her workout at Boulevard gym on Robertson.  Check out her natural hair growth in that pony. Is it just me or is it growing super slowly? Vitamins do the trick!  Also, my gym bag is totally Chanel. Jokes! I have no gym bag, remember?

Ashley Tisdale on the set of Hellcats.  She is so fit and works super hard at it, very inspiring.  She also walked her dog on break, pic at The Puparazzi.

Hilary Duff follows up a pilates class with grocery shopping at Bristol Farms.  Question: do you like brussel sprouts?  I had them for the first time recently and I'm actually a fan. If you have tips for preparing them, I'd like to try to make them at home some time since they are low-cal and pretty filling!

High Flying Fashion: Victoria, Jessica

Victoria Beckham only gets better in my book.  She heads off to New York traveling as stylishly as ever with a Goyard carry on, Victoria Beckham shades, and some fierce Loub boots (very impractical for security though!). Her collection is the one I am most looking forward to from NY Fashion Week. Which designer are you super excited for?

Jessica Alba departs the Venice Film festival to head home to Los Angeles.  Not a supporter of traveling in a mesh shirt. Talk about drawing attention and a case of the colds!

Hot Couple of the Minute (NOT): Jesse and Kat Von D

Barf in my mouth, Jesse James and Kat Von D have gone public with their new relationship.  Jesse clearly has no publicist - in Hollywood, if you are the cause of a marriage going south, you must wait until your ex has a new significant other before you step out with one. This is a truly terrible move for his image.

Personal update: My post surgery visit with my doc was this morning, but no real news at this point. I really wish they would have me do blood work before my appointment with her so we could discuss the results in person.  The best news is that chemo won't work for me and my long postponed hair cut is officially on! I'm starting to look like Daryl Hannah in Splash so it's about time.

And because this day needs to begin with a wtf photo, here's Christina Ricci heading to dinner at Madeo wearing a gingham pinafore maxi dress. Captial letters WTF?

Posh Portfolio: Romeo's Birthday Party

Victoria Beckham wore her favorite Goat dress to her son's 8th birthday party.  Check out her specs.  These are from her new fall line and are one of the hottest trending sunglasses at present.  If you can splurge, invest in a pair in black for $510 or gold for $745.  BTW isn't she cute in her pony?  I'm so glad she has long hair again.

Gossip Girl Catch Up

Look who reunited! Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr were kissy faced at the US Open yesterday.

Heading back to work, Taylor Momsen, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, and Blake Lively show how their wardrobe varies from their character's closet.  I'd say Taylor and Jenny have about the same trashy taste.

Leighton appears in costume wearing a Victoria Beckham dress, Missoni heels (set to the side), and Tiffany clutch.  Blake's tougher look is Maxime Simoens. I am looking forward to this show resuming.  Last year was a little "eh" in my opinion, but I have high hopes for a new season. Blair and Chuck are so much more exciting when they are fighting.

Kelly Osbourne Headlines for Pussycat Dolls

Kelly Osbourne is enjoying her glam new makeover and was the celebrity star of The Pussycat Dolls show at the Viper Room last night.  Founder Robin Antin walked her in for support.  Also in attendance were Carmen Electra, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Malin Ackerman, and Mark Salling, who seems to turn up at every female-centric Hollywood party.

Mommy and Me: Kate Hudson and Ryder

Did you all catch Kate Hudson on The Rachel Zoe Project this week?  I completely forgot she was a mom until she started talking about Ryder.  She really looks and seems so young.  Here she is with her son boarding a flight out of London.

 I'm not a fan of her day to day look, but love when she's doing promotional work and now I know we have Rachel to thank for that.  While I'm on the subject, I don't love how Rachel dresses herself; she seems to do much better for her clients, no?

How queso are we here in Bev Hills?  We are having a 90210 party and these banners are on every light post in town.  Natasha Beddingfield is headlining and there is plenty of food and wine from amazeballs restaurants.  I quickly asked for an extension on my jury duty so I'm back at work and stopping by this at lunch.

Bump Watch: Uma Thurman?

Thanks to a bestie from law school who now lives abroad, I've been alerted to Uma Thurman's potential new baby bump. She is vacationing in Italy with her fiance and sparking tabloid rumors about a third child on the way.  Honestly, I think she may have just put on a little weight, but I'd like to know if she looks preggo to you?

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer take off for their honeymoon after completing their Emmy duties.  Tina Fey returns home to New York. I can't wait for new 30 Rock!

Erin Andrews has a great comfy/cute plane outfit arriving in LA.  KCav arrives home after visiting Chicago, where she went on a date with QB Jay Cutler.  She's had some practice - she once dated Matt Leinart.
