DON's Deal: Party Time!

Just about everything that could go wrong did last night, but it all worked out in the end.  The party was at capacity in 40 minutes, which was awesome in that people showed up but sucky in that I had to beg, borrow, and steal to get important people in.  I sat with Rachel Bilson before the event in her hotel suite and she is precious, tiny, and childlike just as you would imagine her to be. She had on the highest heels ever and I wondered how celebs do it until she and I commisserated later on how badly our feet hurt. Stars, they're just like us!

The big crazy part of the night was hanging out with Mr. Plus 8.  We sat together at the party for an hour, then went over to Chateau Marmont for drinks.  I've always wondered what it would be like to be in an entourage and last night was as close as I'll get.  They make things happen when you are with a celeb. No tables, but we'll make one for you. No waiting. No nothing!  He's en route back home today for custody with the kids this weekend (they plan on playing a ton of video games).  He is very, very aware of his celebrity status, but did seem genuinely proud of his kids and spoke fondly about them.  His ex-wife on the other hand....

The best was this morning after telling my mom who I hung out with, her response was "Oh no. You aren't dating him now, are you?" ROFL!

Guess Who Is the New Mark Cosmetics Spokeswoman?

Ready to join Lauren Conrad in promoting Mark cosmetics for Avon is Twilight's Ashley Greene.  The newly blonder pyt did some shopping around LA in some killer high Neil Barrett shoes, a striped iridescent top by Lutz & Patmos, and J Brand jeans.  Do you like her new hair? Also, do any of you use Mark?  I'm curious about a couple of their products, but haven't heard of anybody who uses them.

Something Borrowed Films On

Kate Hudson's wardrobe has been all over the place for this movie.  I want that white trench so badly!  And isn't it nice to see her getting along so well with Ginnifer Goodwin?  Those are my random comments on these pics. Carry on!

Kim Kardashian Filming in Beverly Hills

Kim Kardashian filmed new scenes for Keeping Up with the Kardashians yesterday in Beverly Hills.  Current/Elliot skinny cargo pants teamed up with an Elizabeth and James blazer, Givenchy bag, Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain boots, and, of course, the LV suitcase.  That's a lot of money put into one outfit!

Lo Bosworth Shops Off Spencer's Insults

Spencer Pratt went on a Twitter tirade yesterday about Lo Bosworth, calling her a whore and saying she sleeps with old men for money.  I think his crystals are now going straight up his nose in the form of meth!  Meanwhile, Lo is busy writing her relationship book, The Lo Down, and I hear Audrina and KCav are trying to get book deals as well.  She is also hosting the Nivea lose your cellulite challenge or something like that.  She said her weight loss resulted from spin classes. I've never loved spin, but those who do are hard core about it!

Oliva Palermo for Freda

Olivia Palermo attended the 2010 Institute For Civic Leadership Spring Benefit last night.  She was a co-chair for the event, which raises money to support sutdent missions in Haiti.  The accessories guru went with some low-end items, opting for Starace peach heels from Aldo and Topshop's Stone Owl ring, to pair with her DVF top.

She is also the face for UK fashion line Freda. She did a promotional video for them and I think her makeup is not good in this reel.

High Flying Fashion: NicRic, Miley, Katy

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!  Completely in love with Miranda Kerr's perfect travel outfit.  She caught her flight at LAX looks chic and travel-ready, right down to the oversized bag for carry-ons and her own blanket.  Love it!

Traveling in white pants seems exceptionally brave to me.  I hope Nicole Scherzinger changed into those at the airport.  Natalie Portman looks a little fried as she arrives in New York.

Katy Perry is bringing the crazy a little strong lately.  I get that she's gimicky, but I think she could get the attention without trying so hard.  NicRic lands in Syndey all bundled up wearing the same JET Patwork jeans she wore in London.  She sported Chanel sunglasses and a Givenchey Old Pepe Nightingale bag.

Miley Cyrus is bringing Liam with her on her promotional tour for her new album. Mel B looks exhausted as she gathers her bags with her husband.

Celebs Cheering the Lakers to Victory

Following last night's win for the Lakers, Khloe Kardashian and her husband Lamar Odom dined at Ago in West Hollywood looking less than pleased with the camera attention.  Christina Aguilera performed the National Anthem in some hot Loubs, but otherwise predictable ensemble. The game drew fans like Diane Lane, Josh Brolin, Diddy, Snoop, and the rumored to be re-engaged Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox (thanks for dressing up, girl!).  Thank goodness we moved our party from last night to tonight!  Downtown LA is just bananas right now.

Lauren Conrad News

Lauren Conrad made her way to the Grove shopping center to promote her Got Milk campaign.  Crazy hair color aside, she looks great.  Below is a photo she tweeted with a fan at the Lakers game earlier this month.  I miss seeing more of her and was so happy that she has finally relaunched her website! There are some super cute pics of her with her pup, Chloe, in there.  Oh, and check out the little video below and you'll remember why you liked her in the first place.

Reese Witherspoon's Day Off

We've got major June Gloom going on in Los Angeles.  Every morning I wake up to grey skies and cool temps, but it has been burning off into plesantly warm (not hot) afternoons.  I know many of you are sweltering out there and I'm sorry for that!  Reese Witherspoon was well prepared for the weather in a cute red sundress layered with a military inspired coat.  She got some time off filming while Rob Pattinson does press for Eclipse.

PYTs Out for Activision

Today kicks of E3, which is the gaming convention and is pretty much Disneyland for video game geeks. You walk around the LA Convention Center and play all the games being launched this year and talk shop with the advertisers. This overlaps a lot with my line of work (hence the party I'm working on this week), but I opted to skip out on last night's Activision party.  What a fool!  The minute I woke up and saw my co-worker's texts about Rihanna doing a cameo, I was majorly bummed.  Rather than participate in the conference, Activision chose to throw an estimated $6 million event that featured their new games as well as performances by Eminem, Jane’s Addiction, Chris Cornell, N.E.R.D., and Rhea. 

I think they have set the party bar pretty high...

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Resumes Filming

Kim, Khloe, Kris, and Kourtney Kardashian, plus Mason Disick, did some shopping for beauty supplies at Naimie's Beauty Center in Studio City.  Khloe generally looks pretty put out everytime she is with her sisters lately, but she has a lot going on between fighting off the flu and her hubby fighting for a win in tonight's game.  She's wearing Levi cut-offs, while Kim is sporting her 7 For All Mankind Gummy Moto leggings.

Jessica Biel Enjoys Downtime in Paris

Jessica Biel took a night off in Paris with her boyfriend Justin Timberlake.  The couple dined at Ralph Lauren's new restaurant in the City of Lights.  This morning, she did what any girl in Paris would do - she hit up Chanel!

The Big C and Sofia Vergara

Today I'm dealing with the aftermath of the big C.  Post-radiation I was told to eat tons of sour lemon candy, but not why. I hate sour lemon candy so I didn't do it.  The reason for doing this was that it activates your thrashed salivary glands and helps them get back to normal.  Since mine never recovered, dry food like bread is sawdust in my mouth and I have to get frequent deep-cleanings to compensate. My dentist today went to work torturing me and finished with "Ok, I think you've suffered enough." This afternoon is bloodwork and sonograms at the hospital. Regardless, I know how blessed I am and try to always find the humor that exists even in the big C.

And obviously I'm not alone. You know who else goes through this?  The gorgeous Sofia Vergara, 37, fellow survivor.  Here she is on the set of The Smurfs with her new boyfriend, Nick Loeb, 34, a trust fund socialite out of Florida working his way through a divorce.  I just love her!

Workin' It Out: LiLo, Lo, Renee, Megan

I travel for work. Like alot. And I have yet to master a sense of balance between health at home and health on the road.  Last week for New York I was tight on packing (hi, I had a carry-on for a week long stay) so the first things to go were the running shoes and gym clothes.  I promised myself that I would find some healthy food to balance out the amazing restaurants I love trying. Of course, that never happened. 

My co-worker, however, came armed with healthy portable snacks, had Whole Foods deliver fresh fruit and snacks to her upon arrival, and had allocated "meeting" slots to working out.  I was upset (why aren't you in meetings 24/7 like me, beyotch?), which quickly changed into inspired at her determination to stay healthy.  She looked so much more relaxed and had so much more energy than me.  But I did love those fancy meals.

Back to reality means back to working on my fitness.  Here are some celebs who are kicking it up for bikini season.  Lo Bosworth, Ali and Lindsay Lohan, and Stacy Kiebler all stopped by a retreat for Muscle Milk (hence the cheeseball staged photos). Renee went for a run in Paris today while her bf worked his promo tour.  Megan Fox, Halle Berry and Jennifer Love Hewitt all spent time with their personal trainers in Los Angeles.
