The dress code for the VMAs is generally short, tight, and daring. Overall, the looks were short, fitted, but not daring at all. Almost everybody stuck to white, black, or some metallic. Ashley Greene finally got it way right in a Giambattista Valli Resort 2011 dress. Love, love, love it! Audrina Patridge doesn't stray far from her typical red carpet wardrobe in Isaac Mizrahi.
Emma Stone looked sexy in a black leather mini Emilio Pucci, but extremely uncomfortable on the red Carpet. Evan Rachel Wood stayed true to her adventurous nature in a Gucci Resort 2011 and OTK boots. I absolutely love her as the vampire queen on True Blood, I swear she was born for that role.
Bethenny Frankel looked skinny minnie in a black fringed strapless. Sophia Vergara brought some competition for the youngsters in the form of Dolce & Gabanna.
Katy Perry was ready to hit the icy red carpet in a Marchesa mini. Lo Bosworth jazzed up her often matronly style with a great gold Gabriela Cadena.

I thought Ashley Greene looked amazing! WHOAH, I looove Bethenny but geez, she is skinny. Was Lady Gaga's dress REALLY made out of meat?? I saw photos (and missed the last 1/4th of the show) and it looks soooo real! :-S
