Meet the New Real Housewives of NY

No confirmation as to who is out, but it is widely speculated that Jill Zarin and Alex McCord are dunzo. Meet the newest cast members of Real Housewives of New York, Sonja Morgan and Jennifer Gilbert (pictured with her kids below). Sonja was brought on to the show thanks to her buddy Countess LuAnn, and is a former restaurant hostess and ex-wife of JP Morgan's great-grandson. She's a single mom with a 9-year-old daughter. Jennifer is actually a wife (of 7 years and with 3 kids), but also runs event planning company Save the Date and co-owns PortaMEe, a baby carrier company. She's been married for seven years and has three children. And just want to throw in that her baby looks terrified of the camera - he's going to love the show.

Kourtney Kardashian and her newlywed sister Khloe spent time at their Dash boutique in Calabasa yesterday. Meanwhile, middle sis Kim attended the Zeugari 2010 Fashion Show in Los Angeles. She was accompanied by her father's old business partner, Robert Shapiro.

John Mayer's Pompous Interview

New York magazine Vulture interviewed John Mayer last night and he was less than forthcoming. Above, his new music video. Below, the back and forth interview:
What do you think about health care? Would you take the public option?
"Have you ever heard me play guitar? I'm really f---ing good. You know what I'm bad at? Answering questions about public health care. This is not in my wheelhouse. Do you have any questions about music? I almost got a mad need to lighten up. You need to lighten up, because the questions you asked me were all trouble-making questions. If someone gave me the Nobel Peace Prize, and I didn't deserve it, I would just shut my mouth and enjoy the hell out of it."
Which I'm sure he's doing.
"What's he going to do, send it back? It's like I'm getting a wrongful bulge in my pants and everyone's thinking I've got a nine-inch cock. I'm not going to argue with them, I'm going to let them think I have a nine-inch c--k."
How about a style question?
"Yes, this seems to be apropos. Do you get paid for this?"

I do it more for fun.
"You do this for fun? That's like me saying ... never mind."
What do you think about guys with seventies mustaches?

Why don't you tell me about your new album? You've been in the studio for a while.
"I have a record coming out November 17."

Any particular theme or inspiration behind this one that makes it different from previous albums?
"Look what we're doing right now! We're connecting right now! This is great! Yeah, it's going to be quite melodically bright, but the themes are all about heartbreak."

How is that different? Haven't you written a lot about heartbreak?
"I think most artists do, but this is really breaking into the theme of it as a concept."
Is there hope behind the heartbreak?
"The melody is the hope. The lyrics are the heartbreak, the melody is the hope. If you have the lyrics being the heartbreak and the music as the heartbreak, your editor made you ask stupid f---ing questions! You're standing in front of me acting as if these questions are fair, but now we're talking about something real. So there was stuff I wanted to put on the record that just didn't fit the concept. So the next record will have that concept."
What concept?
"More political things, worldly things."

Such as?
"Nothing rhymed with public option."

You don't always have to rhyme, though.
"I'm going to forcefully sodomize your editor."

Star Mag's 5th Anniversary Party Red Carpet

The biggest stars in the world (haha) attended the Star Magazine 5th anniversary party last night. Bai Ling, Tila Tequila, Monique Coleman, and Lo Bosworth were all present. Lo tweeted this morning, "just saw pics from party last night. what the f is wrong with my hair? my outfit? dont you hate it when the look u love looks like poo haha."

Soundbites: January Jones on Ex-BF Ashton Kutcher

Speaking to GQ, for which she did a sexy photoshoot to accompany her interview, she spoke about her ex-boyfriend, Ashton Kutcher saying, "He was not supportive of my acting. He was like, 'I don't think you're going to be good at this.' So—fuck you! He only has nice things to say now—if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated." Ashton's other ex-girlfriend, Brittany Murphy, also had less than pleasant memories of her time with him.

Chris Brown and RiRi on Opposite Coasts

Chris Brown arrived in Los Angeles last night during his time off from community labor. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, sporting yet another new haircut, was busy heading into the studios in New York. Her new album drops just before Thanksgiving. Yay!

Blake Lively, Super Fierce in J Mendel and Marchesa

First, she killed it on Monday's Gossip Girl, attending her mom's wedding in a J. Mendel fall 2008 dress, Christian Loubs Miss Boxe Wedges, and bangles by MCL by Matthew Campbell. Seriously pleased to see them do Serena sexy without going ridonk short and tight.
Then she played it cool in leather leggings and a blazer for her boyfriend's movie premiere on Monday night. Penn Badgley hits the screens in The Stepfather.

Finally, for a NY screening of Where the Wild Things Are, she stunned again in a gorgeous Marchesa. This dress is SO fab, I adore. Apparently, so does Blake, who hand picked it at the Marchesa show in September (where she wore, what else, Marchesa).

Meet the New Bachelor!

Even though I no longer write Bachelor Recaps, I still have a warm spot in my heart for the glitter, sob, desperation fest that is The Bachelor. And so, may I present, our latest Bachelor, Dallas pilot Jake Pavelka. You remember Jake, right? He got the boot on last season's Bachelorette. Jake, 31, says this time around he's not going to be so aggressive, saying, "It was good I got to watch an actual first date on TV. I was like, 'Oh! Tone it down a bit!' That's what I took away from The Bachelorette. I was just so excited. I wanted her to like me because she's so gorgeous and such a great person. And I tried just a little too hard." And what is he looking for? "I'm going to look deep into the heart for character. The four most important things to me are similar qualities -- someone who is romantic, passionate, compassionate and protective ... and will laugh at my jokes!," he said.

Tweet War Brewing: Spencer & Stephanie Pratt vs. Whitney Port

Spencer Pratt is going OFF on Whitney Port on his twitter, saying that she got a nose job in high school and "was it Kristin Casitisas nose that you took the picture in to doc to copy? I will pull out the yearbook before and after!" This started after Whitney made a comment about plastic surgery, saying "If they feel like it’s necessary and it’s going to make them feel more confident, then more power to them.”

Stephanie Pratt is also chiming in on the subject, saying, "I know whitney u r not Lauren conrad! Jeez! RT @spencerpratt @whitneyeveport u got plastic surgery in highschool!" and "I hate when people pretend they are goody-goodies! Ugh gross quality. BE REAL a la kristen stewart & drew barrymore."

Hope It's Your Turn to Pick the Valentine's Day Movie, Ladies

Dear John, the latest movie based on a book by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook), and stars Channing Tatum (swoon) and Amanda Seyfried. Channing plays a soldier (SWOON) home on leave who falls in love with an idealistic college student who is in town for Spring Break played by Amanda. The movie spans seven years of their lives together and how they deal with his increasingly dangerous and numerous deployments (by writing intense love letters). Coming to theaters your way on February 5th.

Stork Delivery: Jeffrey Tambor's Wife

Jeffrey Tambor, 65, of Arrested Development and his wife welcomed twin sons, Hugo Bernard and Eli Nicholas. I cannot imagine having twins to deal with at that age, but he and his wife of 8 years also have a 3 year old son Gabriel and 2 year old daughter, Eve. Jeffrey also has two adult daughters from a previous relationship.

Reunited and it Feels So Good: Taylors Lautner and Swift

The boy gets a little time off and guess where he heads? Taylor Lautner, 17, accompanied by his dad, jetted off to Chicago to meet up with Taylor Swift, 18, who is on tour there. He spent the first day getting a city tour by one of her bodyguards while she worked, then attended her concert where he watched from side stage. They also spent a little time together downtown. After that, he was back to Vancouver and she was off to her next tour destination.

JT and Jess Biel NOT Dunzo

Jessica Biel put her work face on for the Dow Live Earth Run for Water press conference in New York City, which she attended with Pete Wentz. Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake was participating in a charity golf tournament in Las Vegas, trying to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children. As for those rumors that they have split and he's moved on with Rihanna, Justin's rep issued the following statement: "Justin and Jessica are still together and are doing just fine. They have a lot of love and respect for each other."
