KFed's Checking In on Brit Brit

Kevin Federline visited his estranged wife, Brit Brit, in rehab today. He has reportedly been part of the team that has gotten her to stay there. He stopped by Promises earlier today and stayed for about an hour and a half.

Her manager denies that Britney has been on suicide watch. "The story is absolutely untrue. She is in rehab, and it is very disappointing that various media outlets are running these false stories about her, as Britney tries to get better," said Larry Rudolph.

A Letter to the Gremlin

Dear Gremlin:

You have a very hot and rich wife (albeit a total bitch). You were previously married to Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. I'm not sure how you pulled off either of those accomplishments, but there must be something about you. Perhaps you are actually a handsome man, but we only see you as a gremlin as you are constantly under bright lights (breaking rule #3 of gremlin care code).

My point is, you should not be wearing shiny suits with shiny pink ties. This would look better on Ellen. And please understand that being flashy does not disguise the fact that you are the walking dead. I recommend finding some kind of calling card that makes you mysterious yet hides your face. For inspiration, look to the Phantom of the Opera. He nailed it.

Actress Amanda Peet and her husband screenwriter David Benioff welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday. The baby's is named Frances Pen after Amanda's mother, Penny. This is the first child for both.

DON's Celeb Sighting

Damn! I thought I was getting so much braver and, well, normal when encountering a celeb. But last night I went to mall around 7 to pick up clothes for the many, many parties going down this Oscar weekend and I passed AJ from Backstreet Boys on the escalator. This is the second time I've seen him at the mall. I reverted to my old ways of blatantly staring with my mouth open while he nervously kept looking at me like he was scared I was going to jump on him. Afterwards I was kicking myself for not telling him how much I heart BSB. But third times a charm, just gotta keep up my shopping habit.

I actually wonder if he would have appreciated the attention. I mean, there was a time when if he went to a mall he'd be ripped to shreds. I should have tried.

Update on Brit Brit

Britney Spears is back in Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility, as confirmed by her manager. Reportedly, the emergency custody hearing for SPF and JJF was cancelled after Britney agreed to give custody to Kevin until she has completed 30-45 days of treatment.

Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, told FOX News that Britney is "a sick little girl...we're just trying to take care of her and other than that I have no comment." He added that the problems with her are "not about what other people think" and that he and her mom are "concerned about our daughter."

After being picked up at Kevin's house last night, Lynne Spears was driving Britney and the two were seen arguing in the car, with Britney wearing a white hooded sweatshirt over her head and curled up in a ball in the front passenger seat. They went directly to Promises, where Lynne checked her daughter in at 10:33 p.m.

Soundbites: Hayden Panettiere

"My album will be dropping later this year, sometime around August. I have been working with a lot of different producers on this album such as Matthew Wilder, Matthew Gerrard, Adam Watts and Andy Dodd."

Does your upcoming album relate to you personally at all? How would you describe the music?

"Yeah it does. Being an actress I am usually portraying people other than myself and with this album I got to have fun and do whatever I wanted and be myself. People these days are really into iPods and mixed CDs and I really wanted to push the walls a little and make each song sound as different as possible so people don't feel like they are listening to the same song over and over."

"I really love 'Saved'. It's a very special song to me and even though it's not one of the more rock and roll out there dance songs, it really is one of my favorites. It's about a friend of mine named Tim Jennings who drowned last summer and he was a very lost kid with a lot of troubles and when he died I really wanted to write a song about it and tell a story about him."

Are you planning on doing any singing on "Heroes", perhaps in conjunction with your new album release?

"I'm not sure yet. The show isn't about that, but it could be cool if they wrote it in at some point. Maybe in the future they will ask me to sing a song for the show that they can play during an episode."

Will you be touring?

"Yes I will be. When and where I have no information on yet and I'm battling a pretty crazed schedule, but I'm really looking forward to it!"

Country singer Brad Paisley, 34, and actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, 36, welcomed their first child today in Nashville. The boy was born at 5 a.m. and "mother and baby are resting comfortably," according to their publicist. The couple has been married since 2003.
