Gavin Newsome, San Francisco's playboy mayor, is beginning treatment for alcohol abuse following last week's revelation that he had an affair with his campaign manager's (and close friend) wife. "Upon reflection with friends and family this weekend, I have come to the conclusion that I will be a better person without alcohol in my life," said Gavin.
Gavin founded a wine store and several popular restaurants serving fine wines, which may make his "recovery" a bit tougher. It was always fun seeing the mayor out partying at the same bars as us, but let's hope Gavin gets a grip before he becomes a total laughingstock.
