Thandie Newton hit up the launch party for Giles Deacon's new line of purses at the Harvey Nichols store in London. She's an awesome actress, but seems to take a lot of time between quality pieces. Next up is the Eddie Murphy comedy "Norbit."
While I was in Vegas, I randomly started watching "Beloved," in which Thandie plays beloved and Oprah plays her mom, Sethe. I remembered reading that book in high school and thinking it was nuts and the movie was equally frightening. Have you guys seen it? Oprah's actually a really good actress, too.
