Lane Garrison, the actor who recently crashed his SUV killing one teen and severly injuring another, is family friends of the Simpson family. As a child he was a perpetual thief and turned to his minister for guidance, one Mr. Papa Joe Simpson.
Papa Joe allowed Lane, then 17, to come live with him and his family for a year. He has said he was very grateful to Papa Joe for taking him in, although living with Jessica was "torture" because she's "gorgeous." How very 7th Heaven.
Jessica has commented on his accident through her rep, stating, "She loves him and wishes him well during this difficult time."
