That's her "boyfriend" behind her. She has been dating Shawn Ashmore (X-Men) for quite some time, but has recently been seen out with DJ AM, Pete Wentz, and James Franco.
I'm guessing they are still on if he's at her party, but she could be pulling a Paris and keeping her exes on close watch.
