I know I missed a TON of coverage of the New Moon premieres - things have been so busy for me while I'm back in my hometown for a couple weeks that the blogging has suffered. But I did want to take a minute to show some love to Dakota Fanning for her impeccable dress choice at the LA premiere. Youthful, chic, and elegant, she is growing up her fashion sense in an admirable way. I have a feeling she'll become more of one to watch (style-wise) in the next 5 years or so.

Jessica Simpson has a need for some retail therapy in Beverly Hills, hitting up the Williams Sonoma store with her friend. She continues to be a major fan of the Cowboys, despite her split from Tony Romo. This morning, she wished her nephew Bronx a happy first birthday via Twitter.

Victoria's Secret Holiday Show

The ladies of Victoria's Secret strutted their stuff in their holiday show last night. Even Heidi Klum, the tease, ended up walking the runway after claiming she wouldn't - just 6 weeks after giving birth to her daughter. The ladies partied after the show with the Black Eyed Peas and the dress code was as sexy, tight, or as little as possible.

Lovely LA Ladies Hit the Party Circuit

GQ through a bash in Hollywood, as did US Weekly. So many parties, so many decisions! Team 90210 and Kim Kardashian showed up to the GQ bash, while KCav and Audrina Patridge opted for US Weekly. To be fair, Audrina split her night at that party and at the Samsung event.

Katy Perry hosted a party at Boulevard 3 for the Samsung Mobile Behold II. Also in attendance were Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad, and Jayde Nicole.

Last night was the New York premiere of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, and Olivia Palermo were all at the screening. Speaking of Olivia, yesterday her co-star on The City, Whitney Port, had some less than complementary words about her, saying, "She’s good at creating drama out of nothing. Olivia is a socialite and she can be difficult, cold and aloof, but I like to think that I balance that out. She’s for real. She acts like everyone’s the enemy and no matter how hard you try, it’s difficult to get through to her or become her friend. She thinks she is above everyone else."

Day Old News Turns 4!

Hey friends!

About this time four years ago, I was working in San Francisco and met up with friends for lunch. One shared some celebrity gossip, which I joked was "day old news." At this time, I was sending out a weekly Wednesday email with all the latest gossip to my friends, who started forwarding it around. The list of people who received it grew exponentially and I would hear from people from far away who had the email forwarded to them and they wanted on my distribution list. My friend said the once weekly email wasn't enough to stay caught up, so I returned to my office and created a blog - Day Old News was born. I've had a blast putting out the best gossip stories and my thoughts on the celebrity lifestyle. I've also met so many people, both IRL and online, through DON, which is probably my favorite part of it.

Today I'm back in San Francisco, working out of our office here for a few days, and feeling very nostaligic. Thanks so much for reading, commenting, emailing, and tweeting with me!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz dyed her red hair black earlier this week, so she's probably fully wrapped all her episodes of Melrose Place. She took off for JFK yesterday.

Tomorrow she'll attend her big sister's baby shower.

Things heat up in the New Moon red carpet pose off in today's Barcelona edition. Strong poses by all three contenders. KStew pops that hip, Taylor looks ready for action, and Rob plays it cool.

Catching Up with Lo, Audrina, Stephanie, and LC

Audrina Patridge lunched at Home in Los Angeles yesterday. She responded to the fact that KCav is now dating another one of her "exes" Tal Cooperman saying that she doesn't care.

Lo Bosworth, Stephanie Pratt, and Lauren Conrad reunite for the Maxim Assassin's Creed II party last night. Following dinner, LC and Lo headed over to Katsuya for some dinner.

Lauren spent the afternoon working on her "green thumb", tweeting photos of her picking out plants and literally wearing green polish.

DON's Delight: Glee's Episode of Wheels

Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt on Glee, shined last night in a episode written straight out of his life. He told the show's creator the following story, which lead to this episode: “When I was in high school, every year we would have a talent show. Every year I would beg the teachers to let me sing “Defying Gravity” from Wicked. And every year they turned me down because I’m a boy and it was ‘a girl’s song.’” [When his grandmother, a reverend in his hometown of Fresno, heard that the school wouldn’t let him choose his own song, she let him sing “Defying Gravity” in her church. ] I was fifteen. I think I could have juggled and they would have loved me. [Now] I’ve gone from a theater geek in high school to a theater geek on national television!"

Kevin McHale was also outstanding. I first noticed him as the surely teen pizza delivery boy who Michael held hostage on The Office for not giving him a discount. But Kevin has also spent time in a boy band and knows his way around a song. And now, a wheelchair. Best line: "I want to be very clear: I still have use of my penis."

The entire episode was truly groundbreaking, tackling teen pregnancy, disabilities, and homophobia, while being thoroughly entertaining, loveable, and fun. I adore this show. Their covers of Dancing with Myself and Proud Mary had my singing along, too. If you missed it, you can watch the entire episode here.
