Letters from DON: Olivia, Katharine, Kim & Reese

Dear Olivia Wilde,

See that smirk on Jason Sudeikis? It's because he's being photographed with his sex symbol girlfriend. However, there is nothing sexy about a denim maxi dress with peach cardigan. Frumptastic. But then you go and have the least sexy dress in the world exposing pretty much everything north of your belly button. You were like, "Ooh, I like this, it's like all western-inspired and in need of a fringe purse and fringe necklace!" No, that didn't help. Just one huge failure.

Dear Katharine McPhee,

Why do you keep taking opportunities to show off being a PYT with a huge show about to break and wearing the most boring or matronly outfits you can find? I would love this look...on Meryl Streep. Sadz.

Dear Reese Witherspoon,
You are fortunate in that I've seen you work hairstyles with both no bangs and bangs. However, you really shouldn't let your kids cut them for you. Get this trimmed asap because I want to love you again.

Dear Kim Kardashian,

Where would I even begin? How about are you wearing fingerless gloves or did have have a rough incident with a spray tan? Pretty sure it's the latter.  And your coat? They are not casting for a remake of The Shaggy Dog. That is just gross.

Dear Salma Hayek,

You are my favorite because you trying to bring back the choker. Not only that, but you wore it with black lace and pulled-back hair, just like a character in an Ann Rice book. You go vampire. I feel like you are an extremely weird person IRL and this look just sort of substantiates my thoughts.

Pretty People: Blake, Jaime, Kate, Emmy, Carrie

Blake Lively and Jaime King came out to support Jason Wu for Target. I'm not one for Target hysteria, but these pieces look pretty wearable! Then again, they are on extremely pretty people...Will you be buying some?

 My love Kate Beckinsale continuing to promote Underworld in Michael Kors (red) and Dior (white).  Because Jennifer Hudson has worn SO MUCH Michael Kors lately, every dress I see from him reminds me of her. Probably because she's worn them all. 

 I love Emmy Rossum, she comes off as so approachable and girl next door. I don't know about you but hot pink is overtaking my closet! I need to stop buying it, but it's everywhere and looks amazing on everyone! 

And then there's the return of Miss Thing, looking very Brit Brit in her best days here. So excited for new music from Carrie Underwood!!

Friday Fitness

I ton of you like the Blogilates Thankful Thighs video I shared so I will be posting some quickie workouts on for you to suffer through with me. This one is all cardio, no equipment needed, and under 3 minutes. Repeat 2-3 times for a pretty awesome calorie blaster. You can do it, summer is months away!

Paris Shows: Cameron, Jessica, Olivia

Some of the fashion set jetted over to Paris to catch the Chanel and Armani shows, including Diane Kruger, Cameron Diaz (who made her hair white and why), Elizabeth Olsen, Jessica Chastain, and Olivia Palermo (with one solid tan). What is with the recent trend in boob jobs in Hollywood? Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie, and now Cameron Diaz are all sporting new tatas.

And I have another question. How come Lauren Conrad, who is a fashion designer of sorts, never attends any fashion shows and rarely wears any high fashion herself? Perplexing me...

Kardashian Catch-Up

Kim Kardashian did hosting duties with Kelly Ripa in a red lace L'Wren Scott dress.  She left NYC in ripped jeans and a gross white fur coat.

 Not a fan of her leather Versace for H&M trench or her casual look while Chanel shopping. Honestly, this second outfit is so not her. Even though it's all brand name (Helmut Lang sweater, Jet Jeans, House of Harlow headpiece - shudder), it is so not like her perfectly tailored and put together style.  I think she's making some shifts in her look; I know she's worked with some new stylists as of late. 

 Khloe Kardashian has landed a new job hosting a one hour, commercial free radio show on air at noon in Dallas. She'll have the job during her husband's basketball season in town. She has denied numerous reports about her lately, including that Robert Kardashian is not her father and that she is starting fertility treatments.

 Kourtney Kardashian returns to LA with Scott and Mason in tow. I like Kourtney more and more this season, I forget how different she is from Kim in terms of relatability.

The show is winding down and yes, I still feel like Kris is pretty blindsided by what is about to happen, but it also seems like he, being the annoying beast he is, is not reading any of the very obvious signs. I think he may have looked at this season of the show as something they had to get through, then they could figure out their lives as he seems to be out of the house as much as possible. Either way, I see why Kim is incredibly relieved to have this season coming to a close and I think Khloe & Lamar will be a much more light-hearted show for those of you who feed into the Kardashian machine like me.

Bump Watch: KCav, Alessandra, Hilary

Alessandra Ambrosio walked the runway not looking at all pregnant. Of course this is the girl who walked the Victoria's Secret runway in November in the first trimester of her pregnancy and we all saw how amazing she looked then.

 Hilary Duff, 24, has gone for darker locks and is the cutest little baby bumper around. I'm really happy for them, they seem like a great couple.

 And KCav, 25, comes out of nowhere to announce she's expecting a baby with fiance Jay Cutler. I predict they tie the knot before the baby is here.

LA Ladies: Anne, Zoe, Tiz, January

Cafe Gratitude is a favorite of mine in Hollywood, great for healthy grubs and making you feel like an idiot while ordering. Entrees have names like "I am comforted" and the "I am liberated". A ton of celebrities are catching on to this spot, including Anne Hathaway who ate their yesterday and Mindy Kaling who tweeted her love for it today. Yippies abound her in La La Land! (Yippies = yuppie hippies.) Zoe Saldana gets her grub on in Beverly Hills.

 Ashley Tisdale must be averse to styling her own hair. I swear she is at Andy LeCompte or Byron and Tracy on the regular. Fellow blondie January Jones leaves the gym looking pretty fresh. I want to see that baby! As for my gym attending goal, this morning I set my alarm, got dressed for the gym, then got back in bed with my dog. Baby steps people, baby steps.

If It Makes You Happy: Beckinsale, McAdams, Banks

Sorry for the Beckinsale overload, but she's so rarely out on the promo trail and I have to show you her fab looks. Also, please see Jenny Packham done right. I just need to never see the looks that Vanessa Hudgens likes from this designer and I can be supportive. Kate sure loves sparkly neutrals, it's her thing!

 Meow! Elizabeth Banks in one hot mama in Versace. She's lucky she got to this dress before Salma Hayek because she'd wear this in a heartbeat. Or Miley Cyrus for that matter. Random, but true.

 Swoon. Rachel McAdams with a hot piece of arm candy in Collette Dinnigan.

Hey Good Looking: Beckinsale, Conrad, Kardashian, Hudson

Kate Beckinsale and Lauren Conrad each have like 10 looks, but they are such great looks I love them so. Especially Kate. Look at her outfit here. Gorg ombre hair, awesome Stella McCartney tuxedo jacket, pleather leggings to show off her hard work, and hot Fendi platforms. One chic mama, no? I still mourn the amazing, perfectly tailored Theory tuxedo jacket I left at a friend's one NYE that she promptly donated during a resolutionary cleaning spree. Le sigh.

 Lauren ran errands in LA yesterday - not at Kate Somerville, damn her - in a summery sundress and her favorite Miu Miu sandals and Chloe bag that she toted all last summer. She's ready for warm weather. Sorry, it's not happening yet.

 I actually went to put Khloe's Giuseppe Zanotti heels in my shopping cart when I got the dreaded sold out sign. Aren't they fabulous? She's totally overshadowing Kim here and I love it! 

 Jennifer Hudson has had some kind help along the way as she promotes her book. Her pretty pink dress is my favorite. How curvy and tiny does she look in the Elizabeth and James dress? I want! Sans sidebraid though. And her YSL heels take centerstage over her simple LBD. Looking good and proud you are out of the Herve dresses darling!

How About a Round of Applause: LiLo, Kiki, Vanessa, JSimps

I'm not above handing out props when they are due and believe me, these ladies need all the encouragement we can give when they actually get it right. Just look at LiLo wearing court appropriate clothing to her favorite hangout - court! Conservative, muted colors, business trousers; I guess practice makes perfect, huh Lindz? And check out Jessica Simpson, all dressed up for dinner out an not a whiff of cleavage in sight! She also opted not to cover her growing baby bod in chunky, heavy fabrics and layers, which did not in fact camouflage the fact that nobody believes she's months from her due date.

 I could just cry with pride. Look at my quirky little Kiki, all dressed up for a Rodarte dinner looking pretty as can be. You've finally graduated, my dear.

  Miss Hudgens, thank you. One day off the promo trail and you found something that didn't make me gag to wear out shopping. You look lovely. Keep it up, I beg of you.
